he needs as much chroma as he can get saved up as fast as possible.

[ In case his... roommate's best friend shows up and he has to take care of his best friend so he never has to earn chroma with anyone except Jia- his roommate. ]

[ he nods, understanding what Jian Yi wants here. It's ok to be straightforward, maybe. He's not used to talking to anyone but his brother and members of the Order... There's so much to learn.

He walks towards the couch but doesn't sit, just hovering awkwardly nearby. ]

I will. You are the one who does not know, right ? So I can do what you like when you ask. You wanted to just start by holding hands and the like first, right?

[ Jian Yi straightens and scoots over to give Sinistra room to sit beside him, though he doesn't suggest it. That's up to him to decide. ]

I can't ask if I don't know what I like.

[ But he understood how this was going to go. He also knew what sex was and everything that went along with it. Jian Yi just wasn't sure of what he did and didn't want to do. Fortunately, his partner seems to get that. ]

Yeah, start with holding hands.

[ He lifts one out and up. ]

[ It's fine with him. Maybe he'll learn some things this way, too. It's probably better paced than what the Archangel's run him through.

He watches Jian Yi scoot and take a moment before he sits down with a gap between them. He's not great at taking hints, but sometimes his growing common sense appears.

He looks at Jian Yi's hand and nods, reaching out with his own and clasping his gently. ]

Is this okay?

[ Jian Yi didn't have any experience to back up the things he said but he was speaking from the heart. He was treading unknown waters and doing his best. Hopefully, Sinistra could understand that. ]

It's okay.

[ The contact is different yet the same as it was back home. Not that he held hands with many people, but contact in general. The major difference was how he felt after. Warmer, more affectionate. All instantaneously. He squeezes Sinistra's hands a little tighter, twines their fingers together. ]

Can I move closer?

[ He nods to Jian Yi, feeling a bit more at ease now that Jian Yi seems at ease. He is so... not used to people. How could he be? But in order to survive, in order to feel like he could be 'human', he needs to try, doesn't he?

He looks at their hands as Jian Yi laces their fingers together. He often holds hands with his brother and even sometimes with the Archangel when they feign mutual affection, but not often with others. It almost feels strange, but the warmth against his chilly palm feels nice. Somewhat comforting.

Jian Yi poses his question and Sinistra nods slowly, welcoming him over with a silent approval. ]
