[ She's been sitting on this for a little bit now, unsure how to proceed. Luckily there's this handy dandy thing called the internet that she can ask. Anonymously, no less. Granted she'll probably out herself fairly quickly. ]

Those of you in committed relationships here how do you go about things?

What I mean is the Moons and various happenings in this world have a tendency to cause complications. So how do you deal with those things? What kind of arrangement have you come to?

I know a lot of people in open relationships but no one's really explained that that means.

Being honest seems to be the common consensus and makes the most sense. Which is naturally how I'd go about things but I was curious if anyone had specific rules or anything. I suppose I could have worded my post better to start.

Here's what it means for us.

He and I are together. We're lovers and we're devoted to each other. But we've got an understanding that we can see other people at the same time and we don't have to share those people.

Sometimes you've just got more than one soul mate out there if you wanna look at it in a romantic sense.

So it's not just that sleeping with others is acceptable but dating is as well?

It is for us. What's acceptable for you guys would have to be up to you.

I suppose that's another thing to add to the list and think about.

[ Though she doesn't have to think too much on how she feels about Hades dating someone else. ]

Do you have any rules about who the other isn't allowed to be with?

Nope. That is entirely up to him and what makes him happy.

Key to all of this is finding out what your partner is comfortable with. Even with the way things work here, if you don't know that then you're just hurting both of you.

It's crap to get exposed to feelings beyond your control but it's worse to not factor in your partner first.

Yeah, that's understandable and certainly the last thing I want. I'm just trying to prepare for that talk even if it might be me getting a little ahead of myself.

If you two mean a lot to each other, there's no such thing.

Again, that's getting ahead of myself since I'm not sure if I mean that much to him.

Honestly the best way to find out is just to talk to him. Could be scary but it'll be better than never knowing.

Talking about feelings is hard! And I don't want to make a mess of things.
