UN: 👋
[[An almost gaunt looking figure shuffles himself, and his fancy new outfit thanks to the festivities, in a seated position to get more comfortable. For the most part there is a metallic stopper on the back part of the wrist of a hand covering the man's face]]
These posts always made me wonder what kind of civilization I've been pulled into that we all sit around and talk to ourselves until other people do or don't decide to talk back.
[[He turns his head in what seems to be an attempt to get any knots out of it, while he speaks, eventually settling it back on the most comfortable spot on the arm of his couch.]]
Before any of you kind souls tries to gg me on being here, sitting by myself, talking into the post, I'm aware. Your humour is dry. I'm just bored and thought I'd follow the herd like every other upstanding citizen. So here I am, talking to myself and curious about what those out there, will say back.

Both? Both. I haven't posted anything on the network yet but I've answered post, like yours, because I like to talk to people in general. And I'm already used to not being listened to because trying to get my team to pay attention is like herding cats, so that doesn't bother me much.
[ Lies. It bothers him a ton because when they don't listen then they get in trouble. But to be fair, they might get in trouble when they listen to him too. ]
Curiosity. I've seen my fair share of unusual things in life while traveling the galaxy but using severed hands as ornaments is a new one. I was wondering if it's really that comfortable. Or it is a cultural thing?
[ This guy could be an alien for all he knows, so it seems like a legit question to him. ]

Because he can't imagine holding on to someone in the metaphorical way. He'll send them to other designated people better suited for those things. All that aside, this guy seems like he may just be on the damn spectrum. He's too honest, too brutally honest which is a flaw and a virtue that Shigaraki enjoys to some extent. 'Team' sounds like a word he doesn't like.]]
A team? Of what?
[[Abrupt as he is, he's trying to get a feel for this guy, it's not a lack of interest, it's that he's not sure what to think yet. Aside that he's been a little rubbed the wrong way by having them called ornaments.]]
They're reminders. They're not ornaments.
[[As for the question... he's not sure. It's so second nature that he actually takes hold of the wrist of the hand and pulls it free of his face just an inch or so, looking at it with a critical and studious look.]]
It's uncomfortable.
[[He says, just before putting it back on.]]
But there's some things that are best left as grave burdens.

We're called the Guardians of the galaxy and we take care of interplanetary threats, we answer to distress calls, blow shit up during odd jobs while fighting tentacle monsters...the usual. Explosions happen often but we're trying to help people. So far only my girlfriend and I are here in Lunatia.
[ As for being abrupt, Peter doesn't mind. He's lived with Drax for year and the man is much worse. ]
Ah, my apologies. [ Peter might be blunt too but he can tell when he overstepped a boundary. Most of the time, at least. Shigaraki moving the hand gives Peter a slightly better view of his face and he tilts his head a little. This man is very odd but the Guardian is hardly the right person to judge that and whatever that hand really is, it must be important for Shigaraki. The last explanation makes it more serious than just odd and Peter gives a nod, his voice somewhat less cheerful than before but polite. ]
Thanks for the honest answer. [ It's more than he expected but maybe it's better to change the subject now. ] You're new here, so...do you have any other question about this place? I might be able to answer them.

Thanks Dad, he'll be winning in no time.Shigaraki's inability to realize that there's more to life than just destroying it aside, all of that sounds like 'Hero' to him.]]You "blow shit up" to save the... Galaxy? From interplanetary threats. Is that your quirk? It just sounds like more interplanetary threat, to me. Does your girlfriend engage in these odd jobs, Mister Star-Lord?
[[Shigaraki is a good boy with good boy points. No he is not. But. A girlfriend. Very good information and also extremely exploitable should he need to. All he has to do is find out a little more. This seemed to bring out some big boss threats and now he has the chance to learn about them before they ever learn much about him.
For Mister Star-Lord's defence, Shigaraki can see when someone actually takes the respectful position of not pissing him off any further when it comes to denigrating his family. Even if he doesn't know Tomura's past, it's not something he tolerates easily and mostly because of his own memories, not really the artifacts of them.]]
Honesty is the best policy, wouldn't you say so? [[He does have questions, questions that he's sure a hero can answer who isn't Bakugo throwing threats around like candy, as usual and as per how he expects.]] Your ranking system here, I'm curious about how your ranking system works. There are so many people willing to reach out and lend a hand. [[That pun is to lighten the question.]] So I'm curious how they're ranked here.

You're welcome. Remember to take precautions. Wear a glove!Hero would be the right word for the Guardians now but they used to be criminals and they all still have very little issue killing if necessary. ]Not always but often. You'd be surprised how many people you can save if you destroy the right thing or defeat some asshole. [ Peter's expression changes a little when the man mentions 'Quirk', oh that's a word he knows, which means... ] No, I don't have any powers right now just very good aim with my quad blasters and no wish to die a second time. But I've met some people here who also uses that word, Quirk, to refer to special abilities. Do you have one?
[ Shigaraki, my good dude...Peter's girlfriend was known to be the Deadliest Assassin in the Galaxy. Good luck if you piss off Gamora, you'll need it.
Peter is, by his own admission, not 100% of a dick so he tries not to upset people on purpose if they have done nothing to him. ]
Yes but honestly can also get you punched in the face so...the key is to read the room and known what truths should and shouldn't be shared.
[ It would be a good idea to ask these questions before Katsuki ends talking to people because these two get along so they might end sharing impressions about certain newcomers. Peter tries to keep a straight face at that pun but the corner of his lips upturn a little. Gotta respect someone who can make fun of himself. ]
We don't really have a ranking system here, sorry to disappoint. There are the Moon Knights, the planet's police, in charge of keeping the pace. The moonblessed are allowed to enter their ranks but that doesn't mean anything in terms of powers. In the past, when we have been attacked by giant insects, they asked for people's help so they're clearly not all-powerful.

That must be taxing at times, stressful to worry about a significant other and about the battle. [[Not at all that he's got concern if she can hold her own or not.]]
Oh? You know them? Are they, maybe, students or teachers? [[But as for the question of his quirk, he hesitates, thinking it over carefully.]] Nothing that I think will be of use here. Just like you, I have no intention of dying and that's all. I can say I'm zero deaths so far. [[Well. Him, he can't say much for his opponents.]]
I'm not the kind of person to punch someone in the face for honesty. You can keep being honest. Disappoint, though? No. I'm not disappointed. There's no reason to idolize heroes. I'm glad, in fact, that the population is the one taking care of itself.
sorry for the delay!
[ Usually. Peter knows plenty of heroes who had killed out of necessity while protecting others, all the Guardians Included. ]
Eeeh...sometimes, yes. But we always fight as a team and she's way stronger than me. Gamora can fight better than anybody else I know.
[ There are other people out there who are unstoppable in his world, like Captain Marvel or Thor, but they're not here so Peter's going to gush over his wonderful girlfriend as much as his heart desires. ]
I never asked, actually. [ He knows very well that Shouto and Katsuki are teenagers and still studying to be a pro-hero but he's not about to talk about them with a stranger. ] Yeah, I don't recommend it. Dying sucks, I lost 5 years of my life and before I could learn about all the things I missed, I woke up on this planet.
[ Not an ideal situation. He was really pissed about it until he learned that his girlfriend was on the planet, safe and sound. That makes it all bearable. ]
Thank you then, my faces likes staying non-punched. And we are, fro the most part. Now fond of people with hero complexes, I take it?
