UN: 👋
[[An almost gaunt looking figure shuffles himself, and his fancy new outfit thanks to the festivities, in a seated position to get more comfortable. For the most part there is a metallic stopper on the back part of the wrist of a hand covering the man's face]]
These posts always made me wonder what kind of civilization I've been pulled into that we all sit around and talk to ourselves until other people do or don't decide to talk back.
[[He turns his head in what seems to be an attempt to get any knots out of it, while he speaks, eventually settling it back on the most comfortable spot on the arm of his couch.]]
Before any of you kind souls tries to gg me on being here, sitting by myself, talking into the post, I'm aware. Your humour is dry. I'm just bored and thought I'd follow the herd like every other upstanding citizen. So here I am, talking to myself and curious about what those out there, will say back.

Humans all crave interaction all the time, whether they admit to it or not.

I wonder if that implies that non-humans could care less.

A year or more still hasn't been enough to stale some memories. Tomura was here, long enough to get a fucking wardrobe change, and Katsuki hadn't known shit about it. Katsuki sees red, any terror he feels overwhelmed.]

Lord Explosion Murder now is it...? How good to see a friendly face. I see your temper hasn't dulled, just your social queues?

It's normal to respond to people you know when they send a message into the void, isn't it?

I suppose it makes no difference to me if I am talking to someone or talking to a void.

The man on the screen is curious-looking, to say the least. Is that a hand??? But Peter has seen all sorts of weird things in his life, so, who is he to judge. ]
Humans, and a whole lot of other alies species, are social creatures. We crave connections so we even talk to inanimate objects. I don't know if you ever met people who own a Roomba but you will never guess what happens.
And some people just like attention and do stupid shit on the net or ask for hookups. Infinite possibilities for infinite dumbassery.
[ ... ]
Is that a hand on your face?
[ HE HAD TO ASK, sorry. Kinda hard to ignore the elephant in the room when it loosk like a severed limb on someone's face. ]
THIS MAN. LOL.
I get social interest, for some people, but it seems counter productive to meeting people, talking to ourselves.
[[However, to the roomba comment... That sounds like something stupid that one of his bunch would drag home just to say they could. Magne probably would have loved it. Twice would if someone actually brought it, maybe. Truth be told he misses his companions and this is his way to reach out and see if they're just in hiding and he can't detect their quirks. ]]
There's no one I know that owns a Roomba, but you've got my interest in what happens when someone owns one.
[[His eyes, through the fingers of the disembodied hand on his face look at the fingers on it like he has to confirm it. It's just what he's used to, it reminds him he can't be a brat here. The question is the obvious one that he should expect, but no one really questions it. Not at home and not here.]]
Yes. It is. It's a hand on my face if you want to boil it down.
Peter Quill, ladies and gentlemen, what can I say?
It can be but in the end, it seems to work for everyone here just fine. If you talk often or loud enough, someone might eventually pay attention. Either to talk to you or to direct you to a doctor.
[ Peter has seen all sort of tech while traveling the galaxy and has meet robots and A.Is. He knows that the tendency to form attachments and get emotionally invested in something isn't connected to the fact that it might or might not be alive in the first place. ]
Basically, they start talking to it as if it's some sort of pet who can understand them. Some people also tape knives to it or have Roomba races across the house.
[ If it's of any comfort, he didn't sound freaked out or disgusted but genuinely curious and somewhat confused. ]
I see. [ Well, he's got a mathematician's answer, he can't complain. ] Is that comfortable? Especially now that it's summer.
[ Peter here asking the important questions. ]

Good game. It's what you say at the end of team matches, mostly in good favor but it depends on how your team performed and the conversation between.

Well, people talk to themselves all the time, right? This isn't much different. And it's more like a broadcast, I think. Like making a special news announcement, but there's the opportunity for viewer participation.
[she smirks, tilting her head to the side.] So, Mr. Newscaster, are you getting the participation you wanted?
