What's the deal with tomatoes. They're just messy fruit full of water.

It wouldn't be the first time, and besides, it's just the right thing to do to help someone in trouble.

Ha. Not the worst trouble I've ever been in, getting food for free. Even if it's food I don't have a taste for.

Have you tried making them into something?

Didn't like them raw, so I tried cooking one. Wasn't that great.

[You can't! Just! Saute tomatoes in butter and wine and expect them to be anything!]

Well, you're not alone! Plenty of people don't like them raw. But, you can use them to make sauces to put on things like pasta or pizza or even some meat dishes or even make them into a jam.

Guess this is where I admit I don't know what half those things are. Mostly things that start with P, apparently.

Well, pasta is basically noodles, a food that's made from different types of dough.

Pizza is... well, the crust is also made from a dough and topped with, typically, tomato sauce and different cheeses and other assorted toppings depending on who you ask, but meats and vegetables are pretty standard.

Ah, all right. I recognize pasta.

Pizza seems interesting. Kind of like those sandwich things, but with only one part that's bread.

Yeah, something like that! It's really good, though, so I'd definitely recommend trying it at least once :)

That's definitely debatable depending on your appetite... But, pizza is typically something to be shared!

Hah. Well, I eat light.

Think two people could get the job done?

Considering I, and other people I know, can pack one down solo, I'm positive two can.

Let me guess. You're a man tall enough to hit your head on some door frames.

I mean... not all of them...

Right. Some of us are a little more compact, you know. Or maybe you can't see us from way up there.

I used to be an instructor back on Earth, so a lot of people were shorter than me. Promise it's not just words ;)

Well... kind of, but not really. It was more like a school for space exploration.

Space. You know when you look up in the sky with all the stars and the moon? That. Things that are beyond what you can see with your eyes.

Oh. Like how this world is a different 'planet,' and you can get to the moons from here. Didn't know that was possible anywhere else.

Yeah, exactly that. It's definitely possible where I'm from, though I've met some people here who've never heard of it before.
