It's not like this world at all. A lot quieter, a lot simpler. There's magic, which I hear some worlds don't have, but none of this business of making love for it or turning into animals every damn month. We don't have any of the tecknology here for getting news on a glass pane or transporting yourself to places instantly. You want to know what's happening in the world, you drop by the nearest tavern. You want to travel, you use a cart, a boat, or your feet.

You could say that. My biggest problem is the noise, though.

Both. Not like there'd be much city noise without the people. Talk would be one thing, but all those machines and lights and vehicles, I'm not used to any of that. It's just so damn loud all the time.

I sleep as much as I can during the day to avoid the worst of it, but it's not as though it stops at night.
