second: anyone have any thoughts on being called "puppy"?
is it a compliment?
an insult?

Not a list for why they want to get back at you. A list for why they would choose not to tell you. They may not even have a reason to get back at you to have a list for why they wouldn't say anything.

"Alien" isn't a word we use in the United Systems. The entire definition of it is a moot point when you come from a place where travel between multiple plants within multiple space systems is the daily norm.
