not that it happened
but hypothetically i guess

second: anyone have any thoughts on being called "puppy"?
is it a compliment?
an insult?
i kind of need some outside opinions here

It does, but I'm not going to sit here and tell you it doesn't sound frightfully over-complicated! So you and this girl who calls you 'puppy' aren't in a relationship, but she might be with this 'asshole'.

So you don't like this girl in a romantic way, and she's clearly dating someone else. Might I suggest that you could be overthinking all this?
