I want to know more about the worlds that everyone left behind.

Like what countries there are, what they look like, what's different from here. It's such a waste of opportunity not to learn about other worlds, you know? As long as I'm going to be stuck here, I'd like to stretch my imagination and learn something new.

I, for one, just came from Japan. Yokohama City, to be exact. I wouldn't be surprised if more of you are from Yokohama... Oh~ But imagine if we're all from alternate Yokohama Cities. That would be interesting as well.

That is a lot. You know all of them personally?

Personally is a strong word.

I work at a cafe that they frequent, so it's that sort of relationship. Pretty sure I didn't register in their brains as more than the waitress. We're closer here than we were before.

You? Got anyone from home here?

A couple. Nowhere near seven. But as far as I've seen, no one's from... what'd you call it? Alternate versions of our world. It's just us, from the one we know.

You're not from a place with Japan, right?

What's your world like? You mentioned that this place is louder and the buildings are weird.

You living in the middle of nowhere?

Compared to this, I guess. We didn't have all this tecknology and far fewer people, even in the biggest cities. 'Electricity' isn't something you'd find outside a thunderstorm. Or a lightning spell.

Oh, I think that I kinda get it now. Why you'd be so overwhelmed, I mean.

There are tons of people where I'm from. It's hard to get away from them. Yokohama is so big that you need to take a train to get around.

Don't exactly have a frame of reference for that. Does that mean your Yokohama is bigger than Lunatia?

... You know, I'm not sure. Maybe similar size?

I haven't explored all of the layers here yet.

If you don't use electricity, do you use candles? Or do you have some kind of light-up magic?

Candles, torches, lanterns. You could use a fire or light spell or a soulstone if you had to, I guess, but you're better off hoarding those against encounters on the road.

My, that sounds much like a story from my world's fantasy genre!

Except the soulstones. I've never heard that word before. What are they?

Stones, like the name implies. Each of them holds a type of magic inside, like fire or wind. Then if you've got the stone on you you can release its magic once, whether or not you know that kind of spell yourself. Wouldn't recommend traveling far without a few at hand.
