I want to know more about the worlds that everyone left behind.

Like what countries there are, what they look like, what's different from here. It's such a waste of opportunity not to learn about other worlds, you know? As long as I'm going to be stuck here, I'd like to stretch my imagination and learn something new.

I, for one, just came from Japan. Yokohama City, to be exact. I wouldn't be surprised if more of you are from Yokohama... Oh~ But imagine if we're all from alternate Yokohama Cities. That would be interesting as well.

... I did tell you that I'm from an alternate Yokohama the first time we spoke, right? There are a few differences between the Yokohamas that I'm aware of. Although I think there are some similarities, too.

Yes, you did mention that. Actually, it was thinking about our conversation that made me want to bring it up. I'm kind of hoping there's another Lucy Montgomery that I don't know about. [She giggles.]

She can't say that, though. Inaba mentioned Atsushi and she knows there are two Atsushi from Yokohama for Inaba. One of them left. The one whose apartment Lucy now occupies.]

Did you see anything interesting? I'm sure shops must be different at least, right? I wonder what the Agency building is used for in your world.

I didn't actually get to see much of it, since... he only showed me his workplace.

Hmm... I don't know. It's possible that the building might not actually exist where I'm from.

Isn't that kind of romantic to think about? Even the buildings, that seem so big and unmovable, can exist or not depending on subtle changes. It's like a person's dream to start a business has the power to literally move buildings.

Oooh, I wonder if dreams can move mountains too. If I knew the topography better, I'd try to compare.

I'm not sure I'd call it a club...

In my world, literature is being devoured by monsters called 'Taints'. They consume stories and erase people's memories of them, and the effect they had on their readers.

Normal humans can't delve inside books to fight them. So we were summoned to protect literature from being destroyed.

Reiwa period? Guess that means nothing if you're from the past, huh?

What?! That sounds awful! If I didn't have books growing up, I'd have been so much more miserable!

Right now the best we can do is to hold them back. We still don't know where they come from or why they appeared suddenly... but we can stop their spread, at least.

[It's a mobage, they can't just resolve the plot, that would be silly.]

I live in Machida. Technically the Kanagawa side. But my school is in Tokyo.

[Machida is right on the border of Tokyo and Kanagawa, but 30 minutes by train absolutely counts as neighbours!]

Is this place so similar to your world you're actually restless enough to want more? I've been here for months and it's still exhausting just having to look at the city every day.

And that might be.

There might be small, subtle differences between worlds or large ones. Like your world has ability users and things like that, right? Mine doesn't have any of that.
