[ It's rather late at night when the video first goes out. It begins with Cehd'ra's face on the screen, the background a window looking out into the neon lights of Level Three. Cehd'ra's face is brightly lit by the screen's glow. ]

Ah, 'lo there. So...y'know 'don't think I've done this before. Huh.

[ Cehd'ra's accent places him as Eorzean to those who'd recognize it, but on a whole his speech is almost impressively lazy. ]

Cehd'ra. [ He gives a brief wave with one hand and a wry smile. ] 'Pleased to meet you all. Just wanted t'ask folk who might know...ah, let's start with this: any of you ever been Bonded? Whether where y'come from or here, that bit doesn't matter. 'Just fishing for some idea of how it's done.

[ He leans back, ears cocking in different directions as he reaches to scratch at the base of one. ]

'Know that there's often a ceremony, fancy clothes, that sort'f thing but...what else? I'd be grateful for any input, I know some folk find these odd questions t'be a bother.

[ With a shrug he gives the camera another little wave. ]

[ The surprise is obvious if brief though not necessarily that Felih's been bonded...more that it's late for the Seeker, isn't it? Ah well, Cehd'ra breaks into a happy smile. ]

No doubt that yours was a beautiful one. Right now it's just...ideas. But I'll be glad t'call on you when it goes beyond that to real plans.

[ Felih doesn't usually sleep well, in this place. He lives alone, and often is up late in the night scrolling through the network. ]

Chaotic, but that was more because my friends are mischievous than for any lack of planning. Everything was beautiful, truly! Wonderfully decorated, and lively, with music and dancing... and we all had excuses to wear fine attire and eat fine food.

My mate and I sealed our bonding with a kiss, but there's plenty of ways to go about it- the sharing of a chalice, or something as simple as signing the document together.

I would say it involves a good amount of jumping from
aethernet shard to aethernet shard and pretending to pray before some statues.

More importantly, could give you a good price on a ring.
What are we looking at? Gold, titanbronze, palladium?

[ He shifts to reach into a back pocket, his voice lowering closer to a whisper--as if this isn't a public message that anyone could look into. ]

Already got the rings, though, from a local place.

[ He tilts the camera down to show three rings in his palm, each a different size. ]

I am a man prone to wandering off and chasing his dreams, yes, yes... not that there's much of anywhere to wander to, here.

[ He shrugs, and he lets the matter trail off. Settle down? No, no. ]

I've been present at a few, yes. Based on those, the most that I can suggest is to not be stingy with the food and drink, if you'll be hosting a reception.

I can't say that I personally have never been Bonded myself, but I should ask: is this your term for a marriage? I do not wish to assume that the terminology is the same as something that is familiar to me.

My own was a rather intimate affair, but most parties opt for a celebration of some sort. Music, drink, food-- that sort of thing.

Anyway, I've never been, but I've seen loaaaaaaads of things involving it. Usually they've got the fancy clothes and ceremonies like you said. I dunno how you guys do it exactly where you're from, but a lot of the ones I've seen have things like music and dancing after they get hitched. Sorta like a big party for themselves and whoever they invite, y'know?
