I know this question has likely been asked more than once. BUT! How does anyone deal with Iris? 😬

I've been Sanguis for almost a year, but last month that changed and it's terrible. It's just more than a week of being unable to fully concentrate on anything.

I just need to find some distractions to get me through the week and try not to bother my roommate too much.

You are likely not a bother to them

If you do not moonlace you will put yourself in danger

Is your roommate not amenable to having sex?

He'd help if I asked, but I don't want to make myself a nuisance with being too needy.

And a week without moonlacing won't hurt that much. I used to go longer when I first got here. [ Except it's probably been nearly a month since she's properly moonlaced. ]

Iris is different from normal
It will not feel like "just a week without moonlacing"
The need could escalate into pain if it gets too bad

If they are your friend, would they not wish to help you?

Is it truly so bad?
The boss' only complaint about Iris is that it makes him more polite

It gets intensily uncomfortably at times. Not just because of the need, but because of how wet it can be.

It's like the smallest thing can set it off.

At least, that's how it is for me. [ She doesn't know if it's worse for her than others, but it's bad. ]

It was a lot easier to distract myself when I was Sanguis.

[ Yashiro is clearly an outlier and should not be counted. But then again Doumeki gets to benefit from that, so he ain't complaining. ]

I have trouble with control during Sanguis
I can see how not having control at all would be troubling

Control was sometimes difficult with Sanguis. But I was often more frustrated or angry.

It got better when I started showing dragon traits, though. [ Then again, by that pont she was willing to give into her desires. ]

The dragon traits are preferable
Though my anger does not abate when I am a dragon

Perhaps the kraken changes for Iris will help?

I grew really big and I was completely a dragon a couple of times. I think I preferred my sheep traits.

It was. Both when I was the size of a cat and when I was bigger.

I only turned into a sheep once. It was because I got overwhelmed. I turned right back after a little bit.

I have never not been at least partly human before

Yeah. But I've heard of others doing the same. And a friend of mine turned into a cat once.

But I'm able to change my form as desired so being an animal isn't a big deal.

Sort of. I'm the Goddess of Spring back home. All of us gods have the ability to change our shape.

Though some are better at it than others.
