Well, I'm pretty sure we didn't actually need any more proof about the whole "if you go home you go back to the same time you left with no memories" thing, but I guess I'm just more proof for that.

No one ever mentioned how WEIRD it is to have two conflicting sets of memories if you come back though. Has anyone else had any issues with dealing with that? Or am I just weird because of how long I was away from home and then how long I stayed there again?

And on a completely different topic, does the prismal kids dressing up as us seem weird to anyone else? Halloween isn't a thing in my world, but dressing up as real people doesn't seem to match what I've heard about it. Do any of you who come from a world that has Halloween know if that's a normal thing or just something the prismals came up with?

[ It's a good thing that she didn't have that happen. She had a feeling that going through it would be horrifying.

She did end up tightening her hug just a little without really thinking about it though.]

[Kairi wasn't going to complain about the hold, but it was pretty obvious from it that she'd made Videl nervous. She rubbed her back a little, trying to be soothing.]

So, what were you doing before you put the post up?

[Videl blinks at the question for a moment, before letting out a laugh. ]

Trying to figure out were the stuff in my old apartment went, actually. Looks like it all got put in a storage unit though, so that shouldn't take too much longer.

Oh, is that how it works? Good! It would've sucked to have to replace everything.

[Especially since, you know, it'd all cost Chroma.]

Are they gonna bring it back in for you or do you have to do that yourself?

[Thankfully her bank account was also still intact. Just not the actual chroma energy that powers powers. ]

I'm going to have to go pick it all up myself. But that's not going to be as much of a pain as it sounds. I have some of my capsules with me so I really just need to get there.

I keep forgetting you have those things.

[Seriously, those practically sound like they're cheating. Not that it matters much, Videl could probably pick up a couch in each hand if she had to.

Though it definitely makes it easier to get them through the doors.]

Well, I was gonna ask if you needed any help, but it sounds like you've got this pretty handled already.

Well it's not like I used them all that often last time, so that's not surprising. [ She only had the one with her last time, after all. Now she at least had a couple more, even if they were all empty.]

But yeah, I'll pretty much have it handled when I go to pick up everything.

Sounds like you're pretty much already prepared to move back in.

[Which, given everything else she's said so far, is probably a very good thing. No need to make things any more complicated.]

Well they did give me a new unit, but yeah, I'm pretty much all set.

[ She smiles as she says it but honestly she's still a little annoyed about the whole situation. ]

That's a relief, at least they're making it easy on you.

As much as they can, anyway.

I mean, part of that is probably that I never moved out of the starter apartment they gave me. But yeah, even with that everything could've been a lot harder than it has been.

Yeah, I've never even considered moving either. Honestly, unless you've got a whole bunch of people you want to live with you or you just don't like living in an apartment for whatever reason, I don't really see the point.

[And with all the memories associated with her current place by now, she's even less likely to want to.]

[ Videl nods. Sure, considering how she used to live back home, a one-bedroom apartment could've been a bit cramped. But thankfully the adjustment hadn't been too bad for her.

... Then again, most of the excess that she lived with back home was because of her Dad, so maybe it wasn't all that surprising.]

Yeah, that's how I've thought about it too. And it's not like I really needed any extra space while I've been here.

[And Videl would be moved back in as if she'd never left in... probably a matter of hours, really.]

So, you just gonna pick up all your stuff and move back in later today, then?

That's the plan. Shouldn't even take me too long, it's not like I have to worry about the furniture.

Sounds like a good way to spend an afternoon. What do you want to do in the meantime?

We could always go get something to eat? Or go shopping, I guess.

Maybe some new cooking utensils and pots? I'm definitely much better at cooking now than I was last time I was here and I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate whatever I have when I unpack.

You know, it's funny. Sora got a crash course in cooking not that long ago too. He had a rat to teach him.

[Then again, given what else she's told Videl, not to mention the stories she's heard her tell from her own world, maybe that comment isn't all that surprising. Either way, she's leading the way to the store as they talk.]

[ ... Yeah, Videl can't help but just blink when she hears that from Kairi. At least until her brain registers why that might be weird.]

...Do you mean a normal rat? Or someone like that Mickey guy you mentioned?

Well, I never met the rat in question, but from what Sora told me, yeah, mostly normal. Apparently he can't even talk.

[Which would have seemed like a normal state of affairs, but... well, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and that was just the start of things, really.]

But he's gotta be really intelligent, because he taught Sora to do all sorts of things. Mostly by guiding his hands with paw movements or pulling his hair the right way, apparently.

... Look I wasn't there for the lessons.

...Okay, I think that's the weirdest thing about where you're from that I've ever heard.

[ Which is really saying something, considering everything.]

Which is almost impressive if you think about it.

[Because seriously. Talking, walking animals, magic keys, the fricking Heartless, and somehow this is the weirdest thing?]

Of course, this rat didn't come from my world, but I guess at this point all the worlds we can travel to are where I'm from.

[ Since, well, it's not like Kairi was just easily able to go home like she could leave any of the worlds she's been in before. Not to mention the whole 'go back instantly to when you left' part of leaving Prismatica thing.]
