[Thankfully for modesty’s sake, Konoha had a proper length kimono she’d received as a gift from someone who didn’t realize that jinba had to cut their clothing a different way to accommodate wide withers instead of hips, a simple muted green and yellow stripe that contrasts nicely to the light bay coat- or, well, no coat now, just skin, and the one pale white foot where her white sock had been. Her senses feel so dull compared to what she’s used to, she barely hears him until he’s close, and the words draw her gaze up from the sand she’s wriggling her toes into, flashing a bit of a chagrined expression like he’s caught her doing something odd.]

Ehe... Me neither. I stared at the ocean so long when I first saw it...

what saddens him is how konoha speaks about gonta's resent towards humans, that her husband would disgust at having anything sexual with her and hurt her unintentionally because of his traumatic (with good reason) experiences. in a sloppy attempt, the tip of his tail tries to wrap her hand that pets him.

souji's dark hazel eyes look at hers tenderly. ]
