[Voice] - About Moon Cycle Antics...

[Midna does not make much use out of the network, but figures she has a question and doesn't want her face attached to it, in the event that anyone puts two and two together and realises she's actually asking for a little assistance. In the most subtle way she can muster, anyway.]

Hello, lovelies.
I've a question and your cycle—moon—whatever you wish to call it—is irrelevant.

How you do handle traits you acquire that could potentially be harmful to others, or to yourself? A good example of this might be if you grow horns and don't want to gore anyone who comes near you or sleeps next to you. Another example of this might be if you acquire serpent traits and possibly have some form of venomous accompaniment. Not that I know how that would work.

But you get the point, I'm sure. I'm not asking for any specific reason other than curiosity, so please, indulge me.

Aw, don't knock it... y'hear? Sure, it's where that whole fox kidnappin' thing happened, but that was probably a one-off. Had nothin' to do with the good people of Caihong.

I think I just figured out another way to narrow down my options in one fell swoop. Here goes:

Not as effective as it woulda been if you'd said yes, but d'ya hear that? That's the sound of me closin' in. You're not from Earth, so to an Earthling like me? Ya probably stand out a lot. All I gotta do is hit on one definin' feature, and you're toast.

Now, I suppose it depends on one's definition of 'cool.' But yes, I've some abilities that it seems many humans do not. [Look at that, she's learning. Because as much as she loves the term Light Dweller, she knows that'll give her away.]

So you're not a human from some human-populated but not-Earth type of place and ya got powers. Ya just gave me 2-for-1 there!

Very much so, yes. By gravelly, I mean the tone is kind of rough around the edges. You're no delicate flower, for certain, and I appreciate that.

[Tapping at her chin, Midna grins cheekily.] I've learned a bit about you, though not as much as I'd like to. Not really familiar with the world you come from or what you did back then. But I'd call you stylish and a little dramatic. In a good way. I always have a good time when we're together.

[There's a pause as he rides out the jolt of receiving a bunch of touching compliments at once.]

Would you call yourself curious about other worlds, then? And I'm guessin' people, too?

Have no fear, I always ask you questions when we're together. I just happen to have a lot of questions. It keeps our relationship interesting, you know.

[Midna hums a nonsensical line to herself, or rather a melody with no rhyme or reason other than to stall for time.]

Weird thing is a lot of it ain't that unfamiliar? I still buy my smokes down at a store with a big M in the name. I can go drinkin' if I want, or get my game on at the arcade, or stop for street noodles.

[After a moment, her laughter dies down and she continues.] I heard that Lunatia has a lot of things from human worlds, so it makes sense that most of what's here isn't unfamiliar to you. But to me, most of it is unfamiliar.

This time it was on purpose 'cause I got a big hunch, but I bet I say a lotta stuff without realizin' I'm bein' confusing, huh?

[It's a good thing the game wasn't very hard, because Midna is basically a shoo-in. Not a human. Not familiar with most human things. Considering there seem to be a shortage of hot alien babes in Lunatia, Midna can't imagine there's many who could be confused for her.

She smiles, baring her teeth, though he can't see it. But perhaps he can hear it in her voice.]

Here, I thought that was simply part of your quirky demeanour. It wouldn't be the first time you've perplexed me, after all. I tend to expect that out of you.

Explainin' that stuff without accidentally usin' a buncha jargon is a lot harder than it seems. I'm thinkin' we might need a safeword for when I start talkin' gibberish.

[Midna pauses for many long moments, as if she wants to keep him in suspense. Isn't she the one giving him something? Sounds like he wants to treat her. She's not sure that's supposed to work out that way, but...

Hm... I suppose I could agree to that, yes. I've only been there a couple of times. I wouldn't mind going again.

We got a deal, then. Operation "get Midna-chan hooked on Caihong" is a go. I even got a few ideas for pullin' it off already, but I'll leave those a surprise.

[Midna considers for a moment, warning him against unpleasant surprises. But in hindsight, she realises that Majima usually has good ideas and she can't readily foresee an issue with him surprising her with something. Basically, she's certain he's harmless.

If it helps any, it sounds like popular consensus is that people with harmful traits choose not to endanger those around them and largely either go into isolation for the cycle, or they elect only certain trusted individuals. You know, for Chroma purposes, I assume. I admit that it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was helpful in its own way.

[Basically as a way to tell her to keep doing what she's been doing up to now.]

[Midna hesitates. Because well. It's embarrassing to talk about stuff and it's becoming increasingly apparent that Midna probably needs someone she can trust to have these kinds of discussions with.]

[Majima catches that stray syllable, but Midna's so regal at all times that he's a little unsure he heard correctly.]

...Ya swear? Even I wound up needin' some help last week.

[No, of course she doesn't swear because those are like promises and expecting Midna to keep a promise is just asking for disappointment. She frowns thoughtfully, thankful that he can't see her.]

I can't picture you being the sort to need help.

Believe me, when I've got some goal that needs reachin'? I wanna get as far as I can by my own strength, but it also ain't weak to fight alongside somebody.
