[After moon phases have ended for the month, Asami contacts the network with a light smile on her face. There's also a very cute polar bear dog cub playing on the background that looks at Asami the moment she starts speaking.]
Hello. My name is Asami and I have a few questions I wanted to ask. It's mostly about the technology you're familiar with. I'm curious to know what kind of inventions your world has - especially in the area of vehicles and robots. [Her smile is a little wider.] Of course, I wouldn't ask if I wasn't going to share what it's like in my own world, should you be interested in knowing in return.
[Naga now comes over to her. Amused, Asami zooms in closer to her for a moment to give her a chance to say her hello before scratching the back of her ears.]
Wait a few moments longer, Naga. I'll come play with you soon.
[She returns her attention back to the video.]
I'm also looking into finding projects that would help me get better associated with the technology around here. It's all quite new to me. So if anyone has any ideas... let me know?
Thanks.

Hello Asami. My name is Lobco.
Technology is pretty varied on my world but specifically where I come from it's. [She makes a bit of a face] near non-existent. At least if we are talking in terms of electronics. I come from the ocean you see [Her antennas bob as if to make a point] so anything electronic needs to undergo severe enchantment to be able to function.
On land we do have things such as phones, cell phones, televisions but I never really had the chance to handle them myself so I'm not entirely sure how advanced they are.
[video]
[She's quite amused, though, as she continues.]
Just by having cell phones and televisions, it's already step ahead of us. We only recently got regular phones and radios working.
[video]
[It's a bit fascinating to see the different routes different worlds took towards progression]

[He's also just really biased as a tech nerd.]
The technology in my world is a bit below Prismatica's in terms of what is widely available. It does have modernized vehicles, airplanes, high-speed trains, color television, cellular phones, computers, electronic tablets and the like, though magic is not present in any of it as it is in Prismatica.
More unique to my world is the existence of Pokemon: creatures that live alongside humans. Thus, plenty of technology caters toward Pokemon ownership and research. The Pokedex is one such piece of technology. It documents current information about each species and helps Trainers identify Pokemon in the wild. More universally-used is the Poke Ball: a device used to capture and store Pokemon.
[He'll hold one up for Asami to take a look at.]
I could go on about my personal projects such as this console that I am wearing, but I fear I've rambled enough as it is. Of course, I would be happy to expand upon anything that may have caught your attention.

We do utilize elemental bending in our technology, but it's not the same as magic.
[Her world felt like it was getting advanced, but after arriving to Prismatica, that seemed so little. If only she could take the knowledge she got here back home.
She looks very curious about the pokeball he shows, smiling in a way that she usually does when she enjoys learning about technology.]
Something as small as that holds creatures? Also, a Pokedex sounds an ideal tool for learning... While books are good on their own, having other mediums to restore data into would be wonderful.

Ah! Bending, you say? You wouldn't happen to be familiar with Republic City, would you?
[Bending is one big familiar thing, but Asami's description of the level of technology lines up perfectly...]

And I absolutely could not tell you how it works. Mostly.
Video;
Interesting. We have mecha suits, but none that can form an entirely new machine when put together.
Video;
It's pretty much like that. There's nobody who can fully explain it, and the people who could've come closest have been gone for a while.

Before I answer your first question, I'll say this - I do R&D work here and try to program, but a lot of the tech and coding involves magic. So if you can't use magic, start learning theory or practicing. It's pretty tough having to learn a whole new language to do it.
Now onto the fun!
I program human-controlled robots for combat purposes. I designed giant robots, small robots, and my side project for a bit was stealth camo. I had years working with a soldier and a spy, so I had a lot of things to keep me busy - recon, intel, computer hacking. But through hacking I'd find a lot of cool blueprints and schematics, and build from there. I'm a bit of a genius in the field. But, like I said, here? Doesn't work as great. I'd show you some photos, but unfortunately, I didn't get to keep my phone or cloud connections or anything from home. For sentient robots, or AI, that's a bit taboo, but I know some private companies have animal-shaped combat AI. I also know cyborgs -- people with machine augmentation in their bodies. An old friend is a cyborg who's only human parts are his brain and spine. The rest is machinery.
For vehicles, we have cars, planes, boats... I'd say "the usual" but it's pretty analogous to stuff you'd see here. Except the space stations -- space travel and such is still behind this place. Big time.

I can honestly say that some of the things you just said went over my head, but I would love to know more about these robots you have built. My only experience with anything human-shaped has been mecha suits that need to be controlled by someone. Also cyborgs... I have never even imagined that, even if metalbending would likely make that possibly if needed... but also very dangerous, considering anyone who knew how to do that would be able to control you.
The vehicles here are definitely a lot more advanced than anything we have home. Especially the thought of traveling to Space. We don't generally talk about space back home, so experiencing that first hand was very interesting.
Honestly, I have a lot of things to learn. It's very exciting.

Technology here is a little weird, some of it seems like things from home, other things are nothing like it. A lot of the things you can do with Chroma for example. Nothing like that where I'm from.
We are able to travel to different planets, and some of them are more advanced than others.
As for projects with technology, I've been searching myself. I haven't found anything yet, but if I do I'll let you know.
video;
[Guess who knows nothing about space traveling or other planets.]
I appreciate it. I can also let you know if something comes across.

Can I come over and pet Naga?
[ Priorities. But of course, she'll talk tech in a bit once she stops ignoring Asami in the foreground and is focusing on the animal on the background ]
Video
Yes, you can. Naga loves meeting new people.

Hi Asami, my name is Makoto! Let's see the technology I have back home is pretty good. My smartphone has alot of space I can put music on it, take pictures, call, text, and video chat. On my computer I'm able to use a program where I can make a little figure of them dancing. It was fun to play with and it helped my group with our routines. We had cars, tablets, computers, and smartphones. Oh we had video game systems too! I helped my friends with the VR game too! I read up on robots, but I haven't worked on any. It would be cool to see though.
Those are all the things I can think of right now. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them!
video
By now I have heard about many of these things, but I can say for certain we don't have access to such things as cell phones or computers. Even telephones and radios are rather new additions. I must say, it makes me all the more eager to learn more.
Video games, however, are something new. Tell me about those?

We have cars and different kinds of vehicles. Have you heard of phones and televisions and airplanes?
[SLOW DOWN, KAY, YOU MIGHT OVERWHELM HER.]
video;
We have telephones and airplanes... well, I'm sure they're both a bit different from what you might be used to. We can't carry out phones, for examples.
Televisions we don't have.... radios are closest to that, I think?

The technology on my world is considerably advanced than what Prismatica has to offer. However, ours is absent of magic. We have interstellar technology, starships that can travel across the galaxies and Spacebridge, an interplanetary transport allowing us to move to one planet to another nearly instantaneously, provided we have the coordinate.
We have manufactured, non-sentient droids for the sole purpose of either service or combat purposes.
As for vehicles, my kind has the ability to transform into one ourselves...
[He'll adjust a little so that Asami can see the wheels on both his side body and legs, just to give an idea.]
video
Your the first one to say yours is more advanced. Indeed, hearing everything you just said sounds different from here. Even if I have no information about galaxies or space in general. We don't have space travel, as you would put it.
[Asami is surprised to see the wheels. Judging from just the voice and appearance, she was going to guess he was a robot... but to have it confirmed and still get something new to add to that. Interesting.]
I've never even heard of non-sentient machines transform into different things. That is amazing.

The technology from my own world is rather different than what can be found here. Great machines that require...pilots of sorts, people to control them. Guardians meant to be sentries, equipped with defenses that were devasting when they were overtaken and used against us...
We were still trying to understand how all of it worked, if I am quite honest. We had uncovered it, old but operable. Preserved to an extraordinary length.

Our machines need people operating them. All of them, not just some of them, even if some can be controlled remotely through our kind of special abilities.
[voice]
Well, I'm sure you know the technological advancements of our world far better than I do, all things considering. I'm curious to know if anything interesting has happened on that front between when I'm from and now, but, well.
In any case, I've gotten the impression that the Lunar Scientia is fairly accommodating to newcomers, so I'm sure it'd be worth your while to give that a visit.
[voice]
I don't mind talking to you about the development, should you really wish to know.
Is that so? I'll have to keep that in mind.
