[Vanitas is seated with his chin propped up in one hand when the video comes on. He looks significantly calmer (and less Sanguis-y) than the last time he made a post like this.]

Bonjour. I've done this once before, but I feel as though I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I just relied on snooping and idle gossip.

[He straightens up, a hand going to his chest with an undeniably cocky grin.]

So! My name is Vanitas and I am a doctor to vampires, although I myself am just an average human. In an attempt to better understand the nature of the world we currently find ourselves in and those that all of you are from I have a request! I'd like to hear all of your "legends" about vampires. It's become clear that despite the wide variety of worlds represented here vampires are a reality in very few, so I'm curious about where your preconceived notions of them stem from.

Of course if you yourself happen to be a vampire or personally acquainted with any I'm even more interested in you. Don't hesitate to come forward and chat with me, I'll even be accommodating if you want to do so anonymously.

So I take it that you're able to pass off as human without much trouble? Or they're just far less trained than those zealots back home.

I guess it depends on your definition of "without much trouble," but, yes.

What lengths do you have to go to?

I accidentally ended up pretty well known at one point. So I had to go about faking aging and my own death. It was a pretty long con.

[ thank god it was in the past and not like, in a place with a network like this!! ]

That's quite an elaborate game indeed. So I take it that means you don't age at the same rate as humans... Unless you just decided to pretend to be an old man for the fun of it.

[He's not judging.]

You're correct, I don't age at the same rate as humans. I stopped aging when I reached maturity.

[ when he became HOT for the mechanics of an ikemen game ]

And never beyond that? How convenient.

[He's been told about slower aging being popular in legends, but never stopping completely.]

Are you able to eat human food or can you only subsist on blood?

[compagno]

I enjoy human food, but it doesn't do anything for me.

[ maybe he should not be discussing this in a public place??? but then again here he is ]

[Vanitas certainly isn't going to stop him because this is useful and interesting.]

I see. So that probably adds more difficulty to concealing yourself.

[ this is why he has st. germain, usually, to keep him from being stupid. ]

Not really. I still like to partake in it, even if it isn't what ultimately gives me sustenance. And it's not like I go around biting people.

[Unfortunately the majority of Vanitas' self-control is still back in France and the rest of it isn't paying attention to him so. He's off the leash.]

Does your bite have any adverse effects on humans? Aside from the blood-draining, obviously.

Death.

[ i mean, he could turn humans but he wouldn't. and he wouldn't kill them, either. ]

It's not really worth talking about.

[Ah, a touchy subject perhaps. Interesting.]

I can't say I've ever met a vampire who doesn't consider that worth talking about. Where I'm from blood isn't a necessity for vampires, but many enjoy it quite a lot.

It's the opposite for me. It's a necessity.

So how are you managing that here?

[compagno]

Apparently the government was already prepared for the idea.

How vile.

It's better than the alternative of making victims out of strangers.

[ he'll take the sad, depressing blood pills any day. ]

I suppose that's commendable. Many vampires wouldn't show such restraint.

I wonder if the vampire I'm acquainted with will take it as well as you.

I've been showing restrain for 500 years, I have good practice.

Not everyone where I'm from would feel the same way, of course.

I suppose that's true enough. Practice certainly comes with age.

There is a vampire here from my own world.

A friend of yours? Or just someone from your world?

He's just an acquaintance, we're not close or anything.
