[Vanitas is seated with his chin propped up in one hand when the video comes on. He looks significantly calmer (and less Sanguis-y) than the last time he made a post like this.]

Bonjour. I've done this once before, but I feel as though I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I just relied on snooping and idle gossip.

[He straightens up, a hand going to his chest with an undeniably cocky grin.]

So! My name is Vanitas and I am a doctor to vampires, although I myself am just an average human. In an attempt to better understand the nature of the world we currently find ourselves in and those that all of you are from I have a request! I'd like to hear all of your "legends" about vampires. It's become clear that despite the wide variety of worlds represented here vampires are a reality in very few, so I'm curious about where your preconceived notions of them stem from.

Of course if you yourself happen to be a vampire or personally acquainted with any I'm even more interested in you. Don't hesitate to come forward and chat with me, I'll even be accommodating if you want to do so anonymously.

[He waves a gloved hand that ends in sharp nails.] Au revoir~

Hm. [He drums pointed nails against his desk.]

And beyond that? Is there anything else of note as far as abilities go?

[He's never heard of vampirism occurring specifically in a blood line, but then again this guy might just not know much outside his family. He's definitely encountered a certain other oblivious and naive vampire before. But if it really is just in the family that's... Interesting.]

[Closing his eyes for a moment to yawn he then opens one to stare at the man.]

We're weak to sunlight...I don't do well in it and I was sicker as a kid.

[He really was kept in the home a lot as a child so he might be bratty but he wasn't really well versed outside of home for a while.]

I've heard about the sunlight one several times from other people in legends and from experience, but that isn't something shared with vampires from my world so it's still noteworthy to me. The vampires from my world have no trouble with sunlight.

[It really seems like an inconvenient weakness that would make them pretty easy to spot. And beat. Damn, that would make his job much easier.]

[Ritsu could be in it but...it was a pain.]

Hm...so your vampires are fine in it? Must be nice. I'm more active at night~ That's my morning.

Interesting. The vampires I know certainly seem to enjoy the night a lot but they can be active more or less whenever without suffering for it.

[He tilts his head thoughtfully.]

How are you doing with the blood?

I can be...but it's a pain.

[A curious look.]

I've found one person that let's me bite them.

I see, that's certainly convenient.

Yeah, he's really nice at least.

Well I trust you won't be running around sucking anyone's blood at random, then~

Hmm, what would you do if I did?

Well it's not like I'm a vampire hunter or anything, but I also couldn't look the other way.

Hm? Do vampires kill people a lot where you live?

Not as much as they used to, but numbers have been on the rise. That's why I'm around.

So what do you do with them?

I heal them, obviously.

Unless their condition is too far along, then my treatment will kill them. [Blunt.]

Hm...sounds complicated in your world.

That's an understatement.

So you just wanna heal more vampires here?

Well it's unlikely the disease I cure will spread here, so unfortunately I probably won't exactly get that chance.

[Isn't... That a good thing?]

So in the meantime I want to study the vampires of other worlds.

I don't want any weird disease, so thanks.

[It's good this guy at least knows what he's doing

Hmmm, like me? [He asks with a teasing tone.]

Well you're a vampire, so naturally. Are you volunteering?

[If he sounds vaguely surprised it's because... He is. Pretty much no vampires are eager to hang out with him for any reason.]

[Ritsu doesn't quite know him well enough yet but he does seem like someone that might be fun to mess with.]

Sure, what do I get out it?

What do you want? I suppose I can assist with Chroma generation if you're desperate. Or we could exchange things like information if that's what you're more interested in.

[There are other things he's good at, but he's not going to put all his cards on the table right off the bat.]

You're quick to offer chroma, hm? Not sure what I want guess we can meet first.

[Ritsu was a little fickle and honestly...he was curious about this guy.]

Shouldn't I be? It's how you survive around here and since I can't do my usual work I have to make ends meet.

[Really he doesn't care one way or the other and he does have a job. If Ritsu says no he's not going to be insulted or anything, he'll only have a problem if he tries to get too friendly or nosy.]

I'll even be charitable and let you pick when and where we meet. As proof that I won't try anything untoward.

[Even though it could be pointed out that he could still have something up his sleeve.]
