Bonjour. I have a question for you all, if you'll indulge me.
How many of you here are immortal? Whether it be by natural means or otherwise. How do you feel about your immortality?
You don't need to tell me how or why you are, I'm simply curious. I myself have lived for 500 years, so I'm looking for kindred spirits, one might say.
Of course if you're not immortal and you know someone who is, I'd be glad to hear that as well. This platform was made to share opinions, correct? I'd enjoy having everyone's different perspectives.
All the best,
Comte de Saint-Germain
[ It's... It's not a letter but he's from the 19th century so. There you go. ]

I never gave much thought about it. It's normal...
I suppose it does make any relations with humans or short-lived species difficult to keep for a long time, however.
[Most can't even get pass 100...]

Nonetheless, I understand your sentiment. Humans can seem very fleeting in comparison. Yet they still achieve much in their short lives.

True. Despite their limitations and major design flaws, when properly motivated, humans can achieve many great things and produce inventive ideas.

[ How fascinating... ]
It's rather incredible, isn't it? It makes this long life much easier, when I can admire all their work.

[This isn't the first time he'll have to write/say that to suddenly make that clear.]
Admire, hm... I suppose depending on what great things they managed to accomplished. As remarkable as they are, they can be as atrocious with their works.

[ Sounds rad tbh. ]
Naturally, every success comes with an immeasurable number of failures. But that's part of the fun, isn't it?

[Also the other difference is that it blew up, too, but no need to bring that up!]
I suppose. I try to forget that they took one of our kind and made an army of zombified clones version of them. But now that my kind is living alongside humans on Earth, perhaps that would provide a technological boost for them.

[ it's fiiine no one needs to know. ]
That sounds harrowing. I hope the acts of those who wronged you haven't soured your view of them too much.
