Bonjour. I have a question for you all, if you'll indulge me.

How many of you here are immortal? Whether it be by natural means or otherwise. How do you feel about your immortality?

You don't need to tell me how or why you are, I'm simply curious. I myself have lived for 500 years, so I'm looking for kindred spirits, one might say.

Of course if you're not immortal and you know someone who is, I'd be glad to hear that as well. This platform was made to share opinions, correct? I'd enjoy having everyone's different perspectives.

Not immortal myself, but I know a bunch of folks that may be. Won't say much unless I see them speaking for themselves though. They might not like others speaking about it.

Though, you wouldn't be able to tell they are important, here. They bleed and act the same as everyone else.

I wouldn't qualify myself as 'immortal' in the same light as you would yourself, but likewise, I was born in Ancient India, and in a way, continue to exist to this day.

In regards to how I feel...
I suppose due to its differences and the continuous purpose that is tied to my existence in this realm, I do not feel as though it is something that I must or should pay much thought towards.
My physical body is not something that should exist for long periods of time, but my soul and my name are, I suppose, omnipresent.
I'm afraid my answer is not as satisfactory as you would expect.

I've known legends that claimed to be, though really it was exaggerated.

Not quite immortal, but my kind is difficult to kill and I have lived for nearly five million years myself. My kind is long-lived.

I never gave much thought about it. It's normal...

I suppose it does make any relations with humans or short-lived species difficult to keep for a long time, however.

Don't know that I feel one way or another about it, other than not wanting Earth to be destroyed any time soon. It's a surprisingly unpopular opinion, in celestial/infernal circles. I also don't plan on pushing my luck with discorporation here in any case.

In a way, yes. I do know someone who is immortal. I also know of someone who is, though both are not immortal in the same manner.

trying to form an immortals club? that's kind of novel! a group of people who will totally get if you want to talk about how things were 300 years ago or something like that. sounds like fun.

As for how I handle it, I pray that it is with grace and gratitude. I'm quite lucky that I get to meet such lovely people such as yourself. 500 years, you say?

Is there a way to tell if you’re immortal besides just living forever? I think I might be. I must be.

I'm immortal in a sense? I can die or be killed but I can be reincarnated over and over with all my memories and the same body. If no one tries to kill me then I'm naturally immortal, yeah. I can make others live for over a thousand years or so if I touch them with my a power of mine.

My kind can live for thousands of years and are extremely hard to kill. When I died, I became the wind and still had conscious thoughts.

Immortal?
A lot of people seem to be very open with these things here, I'm still very unsure of it myself though. I wouldn't mind getting to know others, I'm currently a little over 250 years old but am still very nervous when it comes to being around humans.

The last time someone managed to see what I was it ended badly, luckily I don't die too easily. But I still have nightmares where I could feel it all over again.

Every time I think this world cannot possibly become more preposterous, I am proven wrong.

That depends how you view immortality. What you describe is as if some God, and I've met some who were not. My favorite, reborn once again with no memories of their previous life.

What makes you immortal if I may ask?

I was born in the Kingdom of Egypt during what I believe mortals now call the 18th Dynasty, so I guess that makes me even older than yourself... however, I actually wish that weren't the case because I, too, would like to join my tomb-building ancestors in Duat one day.

In regards to how I feel about my own immortality, you could say that I resigned myself to it a long time ago. I hope that satisfies your curiosity?
