Bonjour. I have a question for you all, if you'll indulge me.

How many of you here are immortal? Whether it be by natural means or otherwise. How do you feel about your immortality?

You don't need to tell me how or why you are, I'm simply curious. I myself have lived for 500 years, so I'm looking for kindred spirits, one might say.

Of course if you're not immortal and you know someone who is, I'd be glad to hear that as well. This platform was made to share opinions, correct? I'd enjoy having everyone's different perspectives.

Feel free. I am happy to share my knowledge with others.

How do you feel about your immortality? I feel it a fair question to ask, considering you are canvassing others for their answers.

[levampere]

Of course, that's perfectly fair question to ask.

For me, it hasn't been easy, but I have come to enjoy it. Perhaps in varying degrees throughout the years, but there are things I can only achieve thanks to my immortality, and people I would not have met had I died and lived in the years that a human normally does.

I suppose it does over a wider window for opportunity. What would you say is your proudest achievement?

[levampere]

Ah, you ask a very good question. I apologize if I can't give a clear answer.

It's hard to single out just one thing. My own achievements include music and art, though those are fairly standard, especially at the time. If I need to single out what I am most proud of, then... I would say it was investing in others and giving a number of great men a second chance. These aren't the kinds of achievements one will read about, but they are my proudest, nonetheless.

You have lead a long life. It is unsurprising that it would be difficult to choose one singular achievement from many. Were you in some sort of role that led to you having the life of others in your hands?

[levampere]

Yes, it was something like that. I was a nobleman, though perhaps it would be more accurate to say that I was a patron of the arts and sciences. While I lack much of the talent others have, I've always had a certain knack for finding that talent in others.

[bratworth]

That is a talent in itself. I was fortunate to have my own education paid for by a generous benefactor.

[levampere]

Oh, good. I'm glad to hear you were given such an opportunity. It's truly a shame to allow great talent to go to waste.

May I ask about your generous benefactor? What were they like?

The monetary aspect of my education was paid for by a conglomerate, the owner of which was a friend of my mentor. He taught me everything I know about being a prosecutor.

( But as he's been learning recently, perhaps he shouldn't be relying in such knowledge as much as he once had.

Not that he's about to get into that with a stranger, though. )

Ah, you are a prosecutor? How noble. It sounds like your mentor was a great influence on you.

Yes, I believe I have. It's been enlightening and reassuring to hear that so many have similar experiences, or at the very least that we share something very uncommon.

It's certainly a change from my own world.

And a change from mine as well. Before arriving here, I would have laughed at the prospect of immortality being a legitimate possibility.
