hey everyone

i've got a question to ask that i'm a little shy about asking off anon
so, let's just say that you've had bad experiences with things that are supernatural back home.

like abilities, phenomena, things like that?

but you're here now.
magic is abundant here. a lot of people have powers and crap like that.

so what i'm wondering is that...

for those of you who have abilities: how would you feel if someone close to you, like a friend? had problems with your powers? how would you ease them into that sort of thing?
or if someone told you outright that they had problems with the supernatural, how would you help them?

unrelated to that, i do have another question.
i think i'm the only one explicitly from my world? but i think there are some people that are from a city or country similar to it, and i think it's really interesting that there's actually people like that.
but for someone who's kind of anti-social, it makes it hard to make friends wwww
is there anybody else here that's in that boat? i'm kind of curious.

Huh. Yeah, that's pretty much it. Though the fact that it doesn't work where you're from is really weird. But I've already taught someone who wasn't from my world how to use it... and back home there were aliens who could use it too so I think it's probably more that everyone who's tried to do it where you're from are just messing up.

Or maybe the ones who can actually do it aren't advertising it, so you only have people who are faking it that you know about. It's hard to say without me actually, you know, being there to tell.

Okay, fair enough. It's not exactly something you should even start trying to learn unless you really want to and you're serious about it.

Again, makes sense.

I mean, even at first I was only interested in learning how to do it because it meant that I could fly. Though I did fight crime back home, so all the other stuff was also a pretty big help.

i'm not the type of person to fight people physically so it wouldn't be of any use to me
and i'm used to just using an airplane or just walking or utilizing the train system back home

Again, that last part is totally fair, but flying through the air without the aid of any plane or hover-copter is pretty amazing. Even if you have other practical options.
