hey everyone

i've got a question to ask that i'm a little shy about asking off anon
so, let's just say that you've had bad experiences with things that are supernatural back home.

like abilities, phenomena, things like that?

but you're here now.
magic is abundant here. a lot of people have powers and crap like that.

so what i'm wondering is that...

for those of you who have abilities: how would you feel if someone close to you, like a friend? had problems with your powers? how would you ease them into that sort of thing?
or if someone told you outright that they had problems with the supernatural, how would you help them?

unrelated to that, i do have another question.
i think i'm the only one explicitly from my world? but i think there are some people that are from a city or country similar to it, and i think it's really interesting that there's actually people like that.
but for someone who's kind of anti-social, it makes it hard to make friends wwww
is there anybody else here that's in that boat? i'm kind of curious.

That did happen to me. Sort of. Not with someone close to me, but with a family member of someone who is. It didn't end well, and it didn't feel great, and I've been kind of overthinking the rest of my relationships with the other people who know about me ever since.

And now I'm wondering how different things would be, if the other people who knew about me could have had a choice in the matter. I guess an important question that decides something like that... is how much your powers affect people's entire lives, and if you have the ability to take it back if something bad happens.

It's a bad but loyal habit. I like to focus on the loyal part.

I would have given them a choice if I could. It's kind of an "asking to be born" situation, just with different context. Very different. Outside of that, I just try to keep to myself. Ish. I can keep the whole disapproval/disowning scenario to a minimum that way.

What kind of abilities do you have? I mean, if you want to say. I can understand if it's a sore subject.

and it's fine, it isn't a secret and i brought it up before in this post so
i don't have any. at least, outside the moon cycles anyway.

but i've just been thinking a bit.
