[Johnny starts up the video function and doesn’t waste much time before speaking.]

So I’m gonna be opening a combination Bakery and Ice Cream shop later this month called-

[He shoots a tiny stream of fire from his finger and into the air in front of the video. Most of it fades away but there are flaming letters that spell out “Tipsy Treats” that hangs in mid-air for a bit before vanishing..]

Tipsy Treats. If you like alcohol in your ice cream or baked goods, be sure to stop by. We’ll have non-alcoholic stuff too. You’ll be able to find us on level 3 once we’ve opened up.

That aside, the name’s Johnny Storm. Entrepreneur here, world famous superhero back home.

[A pause]

I guess sort of an entrepreneur there too. I had so many businesses paying me with many more lined up to get their logo on my costume. Paid appearances, commercials, the works. Man, it was a thing of beauty. It really pays to know how to market yourself.

[That’s probably one of the few things he misses about home.]

But that’s enough about me for now. This sort of serves as my introduction on this here since I haven’t made an entry before. Talk to me about you all. What’s your names, what do you do for non-sexual fun, suggestions for Tipsy Treat menu items, anything. I’m mostly all ears.

Yup, that's me. Though I'm actually more of a mimic than a real fire user. I probably wouldn't have been able to do anything bigger than that.

Nice to meet you too. How exactly do you mimic an ability? [He's never known that that was possible. He's taken the powers of his friends before, but that was different than mimicry.]

[She shrugs a bit.]

I’m not really sure. I just watch someone do it, and then copy it. Though physical moves are easier for me to do than magic or energy or anything like that. I can copy someone’s fighting style or moves pretty easily, but any energy attacks or anything I’d have to practice even after seeing someone do it.

I think this type of mimicking is as much a power for me as fire is for you.

That's a pretty amazing ability. Extremely flexible. [And probably a whole lot of fun too. He's seen at least one ability that he'd love to test out for himself.]

Can you do it to the same level as me or is the power diminished in a way?

Yeah, it can be pretty cool. [Still, there’s something in her tone that seemed to hint she wasn’t saying everything she was thinking.]

Any extra abilities like fire or energy is kind of diminished. When I see the ability for the first time, it’s kind of like...planting the idea in my mind, so I know I can do it. But I still have to train and practice with it to make it stronger.

But physical feats, like martial arts or feats of strength I can pretty much copy exactly. [Then she giggles with a wink.] Which makes me stronger than I look.

Man, if I had that sort of ability, I'd be binge watching martial arts movies and learning everything I possibly could. [So just so he could become the ultimate weapon. Factor in having powers with said physical abilities and..wow. Someone could be a force to be reckoned with.

And give that she does have powers and martial arts abilities..yeah, he could believe she's way stronger than she appears to be.]

Well I better not get on your bad side. You could probably hurl me out a window if you wanted to.

That’s kind of what I did. I didn’t binge watch martial arts movies, but my dad used to take me to meet people who knew different fighting styles and techniques, or have different powers so I could learn from them. So I know a lot of different martial arts forms, and have at least a basis for extra stuff.

[She laughs.] We’ll see how good the ice cream is at your new place. Is there a set date for the grand opening?

That's a smart Dad that you have there. [Making sure their kid had all the skills necessary to defend themselves.]

Nope, no set date yet. I still have to pick up a little equipment and there are at least a few interviews to do before I have the staff to get the place running. After that, he shouldn't be very long before we can get the place fully up and running.

[She nods, beaming with pride.] Thanks! He’s the best.

[She missed him a whole lot, but she wanted to work hard and make him proud.]

.....it wouldn’t be too late to maybe apply for a position, would it?

Not at all. I've got spots for Ice Cream Makers, Bakers and Cashiers/Servers. You interested in any of that?

Sure! I’ve never made ice cream before, but I can do the other two if you need it.

We can start you off as a cashier and see if you can pick up the baking and ice cream making skills from the other workers. If you can and you want to move to that job, we can switch you over.

Yeah! That'll be perfect!

[Her mimic abilities definitely let her copy non-combat skills, but even she was curious if she'd be able to pick up things like baking and making ice cream. Either way, it should be fun.]
