[Johnny starts up the video function and doesn’t waste much time before speaking.]
So I’m gonna be opening a combination Bakery and Ice Cream shop later this month called-
[He shoots a tiny stream of fire from his finger and into the air in front of the video. Most of it fades away but there are flaming letters that spell out “Tipsy Treats” that hangs in mid-air for a bit before vanishing..]
Tipsy Treats. If you like alcohol in your ice cream or baked goods, be sure to stop by. We’ll have non-alcoholic stuff too. You’ll be able to find us on level 3 once we’ve opened up.
That aside, the name’s Johnny Storm. Entrepreneur here, world famous superhero back home.
[A pause]
I guess sort of an entrepreneur there too. I had so many businesses paying me with many more lined up to get their logo on my costume. Paid appearances, commercials, the works. Man, it was a thing of beauty. It really pays to know how to market yourself.
[That’s probably one of the few things he misses about home.]
But that’s enough about me for now. This sort of serves as my introduction on this here since I haven’t made an entry before. Talk to me about you all. What’s your names, what do you do for non-sexual fun, suggestions for Tipsy Treat menu items, anything. I’m mostly all ears.

Was the crime really that rampant where you are from?

Yes... it was the kind of place where violence was simply a fact of life. Even children as young as eleven were known to jump any high school students that were either unlucky enough to rub them the wrong way, or simply had something that they coveted.
Sometimes I feel like my friend's magic was doing more to stop these crimes than any of the local authorities did, and even that was only able to address the violence within my friend's immediate line of sight.

But you said your friend has magic? [He never mentioned that before, but it kind of makes sense that some sort of supernatural things must go on in his world if he's really as old as he says.]
What about you? Do you have magic?

It's called Shadow Magic. However, it can only be used when we have our Millennium Items. There are seven in all. Some of their powers are the same, and some are unique to that particular Item.
[ He pauses, then decides to skip going into detail about his and Yugi's Millennium Items unless Johnny asks. He needs time to think about how to describe the Ring's powers in a way that doesn't sound nearly so... questionable. ]
I used mine to stop a gym teacher who was bullying the boy who hosted my Spirit in that world. The teacher didn't like that he had long hair simply because it got him a lot of attention from the girls in his class. But that's just the kind of place Domino City was.
It sounds like your world is far more pleasant.

That teacher sounds like a real douchebag. You'd think people would grow out of that sort of mindset when they become adults. [Not that it would have been better for other students to have bullied him, but still. You expect the authority figure to be someone that would stop that sort of behavior.]
Do you have your Millennium thingy here with you?

[ Bakura inspects his fingernails and sighs wistfully. He misses the Millennium Ring. He could do so much more in Lunatia had he not -- ]
I was using it to help someone get his body back, and lost it to his body snatcher. Normally that would be a problem because it houses my Spirit, but that was before the floating crystal appeared. Here I can exist without it, but I've had it by my side for so long that things just don't feel the same that way.
[ He knows and he wants to give the Millennium Ring up eventually. It's essential to the success of his plan to reassemble the pieces of his shattered soul. But this is much sooner than he had been expecting to do that, and he still needs the Ring to get to that point. ]

So it probably feels like you're missing a piece of yourself. [Probably literally in his case.] Well at least you have the chance to live a life without having to be tethered to an item? Seems like it could get all sorts of stressful to be dependent on something like that.
