Also, they're a lot shorter than Lapises.]

( well, well, well. back home the lapis lazuli happens to be a mystical stone that's enchanted by witches to allow vampires like him to walk in the sunlight. he happens to be wearing that particular gemstone right now as a ring on his finger. he'll switch to video on private mode now: )

Well, you're a gem and so's this. ( what? is this stone on his finger like a fake then? perhaps something that isn't pure? is she the mother of all lapis lazuli gems and he's wearing one of her errant children gone wrong? )

[When she speaks about herself one could almost hear the capital G on the word gem, and not when she talks about his ring thing.]

( kol stares at her through the screen and he's silent for a good few seconds before he finally goes: ) Oh. Right. Well, that certainly clears it all up. You're a Gem and this on my finger is just an accessory. ( not just. it's the thing that's allowing him to walk about in the sun but for the sake of this conversation... )
