[The first thing visible in this video is some kind of very bright surface obscuring the lens. Then it rearranges itself, and it becomes obvious that someone with a colossal mess of red tentacles for hair that are also glowing luminescent pink in areas is holding his phone at an appropriate distance with said tentacles. Ren looks a bit chaotic, between that and the purplish-white patches glowing on his skin, the purple nails and lips, but he seems cheerful enough, waving at the screen and then waving one of the two additional tentacles trailing from his shoulder blades.]
Hello everyone...I saw a couple of people with this new moonblessing already, and I'm starting to get kind of curious now. We've had that dragon moonblessing, the kitsune, and now this, right? Weird ones that just showed up once and then never again so far. But I'm wondering how many people actually got each of them - I got all three, but I think a lot of people might've only gotten one or two or only been around for one or two, right? Since I think they might've been caused by different things...
[He taps his chin a in a dramatic sort of thoughtful motion.] So I guess what I'm asking is, how many of those weird moonblessings did everyone get? And which ones? Even if you didn't get any of those three, it'd be interesting to know who managed to avoid all of them too...also, if you got pictures of yourself with them, you should definitely show me pictures. I want to see what everyone ended up looking like.
[He claps his hands together to one side of his face in a cutesy, inviting sort of manner. He mostly wants to see if there's a pattern (and potentially confirm his theories on what caused each of them, because he's a lot more sure than he's letting on), but he's not going to act like he's not just curious to see what changes people ended up going through and if they were as radically different as normal moonblessings could be.]

Really? That seems like a shame, they had pretty interesting abilities...though I guess it's hard to tell whether you'll have this one since it's not Iris yet, right? So you still have a chance.

[ She laughs a little awkwardly, rubbing at the nape of her neck. ]
Honestly, I'm kind of glad, and fingers crossed that I don't get the current one. I have enough trouble as it is with Iris.

The jury's out if I got this latest one, but it's... looking likely.
[ Of note, he might see that the brunette talking to him actually has tentacle hair, albeit it's very thin, barely thicker than regular human hair, and only the pale blue tips give it away. This looks more like a seemingly permanent Iris blessing than this latest offering though. ]

[Whereas the nine-tailed fox one was basically impossible to avoid for anyone who got kidnapped. He does notice her hair, though, and leans in a bit to peer at it.]
Are those jellyfish tentacles in your hair now...?
no subject
Aside from me turning into a fox, I knew who else would just by looking into their eyes.
Oh!
[ She lifted a strand of her hair. ]
Yeah. I actually normally have this during Iris moons, but after I got a Dusklight bracelet I now have it all the time.
no subject
Oh right, those things. I've seen a couple of people using them, but I don't think I've seen a lot actually keep an animal trait like that...
[Ren's actually used them twice himself, but not for anything visible, which is why he's implying he's never actually done so.]

After some discussion I narrowed the source of the dragon transformation down to the tea we were served at the hot springs in Lystellus. I believe the cult force-fed its victims something as well, which would account for the kitsune transformations. As for the current one, I have no idea.
no subject
mmm, i kind of thought it might be the tea after the kitsune thing was the wine
it'd explain why not everyone who went to the dragon city got the dragon moonblessing ೕ(・ㅂ・ )

I also didn't accompany the expedition up to Iris. Is there any indication so far that this is only affecting people who did, or does it seem to be more random?
no subject
i've definitely seen someone who didn't go get the change, so it's not just people who went (・_・ヾ
though the jellyfish came down here too, didn't they?

i saw someone get their legs replaced with tentacles before but not that kind of skirt look over the legs...
nice eyebrows though ( ´艸`)
no subject
The eyebrows are pretty interesting, aren't they? But I guess human eyebrows would look weird, since I don't have hair anywhere else right now.
no subject
my eyebrows probably would have gotten lost if they ended up looking like that, so i'm glad mine stayed normal even if my hair turned into tentacles ( ´∀`)

I mean, I know people change sometimes, but... that's a lot, isn't it?!
no subject
I mean, sometimes people turn entirely into animals, so compared to that, I don't think this is very weird...besides, it's pretty fun to have all these extra limbs.
[A few of his tentacles reach off to one side and then come back holding what appears to be an octopus plushie and a small dark pink carry case for something.]

[It could definitely be handy. Like, maybe he could even get dressed without so much as getting out of bed?
... No - that was definitely not Aoba's point, though!]
As long as you're alright.
