I'd like to gauge the feelings of the general populace here on a matter very near and dear to my heart, so please bear with me here. I know that I'm not the only person this affects, so perhaps we ought to have this discussion.

If the first gave you any advice, it's likely worth its weight. I don't know how well versed you are in myths, legend, and folklore, but truth is often more desperate and dramatic in courtship than fiction. Take that as you will.
