Please forgive my curiosity, but I have heard about 'the season' and 'Halloween' a few times over the network, and since neither the time seems relevant to where I come from, nor the name familiar - would anyone care to explain what these two are about?

Thank you for your time.

Halloween is about celebrating all things spooky, scary, and creepy! People dress up in costumes, and it's usually just kids that go door-to-door asking for candy. It's called trick-or-treating.

Well, it's sort of like a threat, but not a really serious one. Kids say "trick or treat", as in "give me a treat, or you'll get a trick".

Although a lot of people *do* play pranks on Halloween. Spirits aren't the only ones who can cause trouble on that day.

No, not on me. But one time, I changed all the clocks in my house, and my parents got really confused. My mom thought she was late for something and got there an hour earlier than she was supposed to.

Right? It was pretty funny.

There are other pranks, like egging or TP-ing someone's house, but those are more mean than anything.
