Please forgive my curiosity, but I have heard about 'the season' and 'Halloween' a few times over the network, and since neither the time seems relevant to where I come from, nor the name familiar - would anyone care to explain what these two are about?

"the season" gets used for basically any time there's an important celebration or festival coming up, so that can be a few things... (・_・ヾ

but halloween is a holiday that some countries on earth celebrate where people dress up in scary costumes and go door to door asking for sweets (ﾉ^ヮ^)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧
or in my country, mostly just the dress up part
different places take different parts of it ┐(￣ヮ￣)┌

Not too sure what the heck's going on around here lately but I've seen plenty of grown folks roaming around in their knickers as of late.

Either that or lasses sporting cat ears and not a lick of dignity.

It's pretty rad! Reminds me of Juju Festival back at home, but a bit more festive.

The Halloween season is the tenth month of the year, and it celebrates all sorts of supernatural things.

It's also a day when the barrier between the living world and the world of spirits is thinner, so people believed that ghosts and monsters can appear more easily. They carved radishes into scary faces to ward off the evil ones, though these days we use pumpkins instead.

It's also common to dress up as something scary or fantastical, and costume parties around this time of year are popular.
