Please forgive my curiosity, but I have heard about 'the season' and 'Halloween' a few times over the network, and since neither the time seems relevant to where I come from, nor the name familiar - would anyone care to explain what these two are about?

Oh, quite a lot of difference. One casual word to someone unconcerned, another casual word to someone unconcerned, and then if suddenly there is someone concerned... in the wrong way, all those casual words get used against one.

i can understand not wanting to broadcast it on a public thread
but it does kind of take a lot for someone to want to use something like that against someone (-ω-ゞ
