Hello.

This is The Knight.

I wish to talk about families.

What is your family like? Do you have siblings? I have many siblings. More siblings than there are moonblessed. One of them is here with me. They are also a knight. They were one long before I was, and they are very good at it.

I have a child. They were not born by mating, as humans do, but by a dance with myself and my friend Grimm. It was part of an important ritual.

My Father is a King. My Mother is a Tree. Also a Queen.

That is all of my family. Please tell me about yours.

As do I. But you do not fight alone here. Nor do you only have your siblings to fall back on. Remember that.

It... would feel unpleasant, seeing my friends within those. But I will remember it is not their end, as it would be in Hallownest.

As will I. And the both of us can heal them, now, when their Chroma drops low.

[In Hallownest, neither of them could heal others. Only wound.]

Yes. And only by laying our hands on them.

This I have had to do for Usagi before.

You take good care of each other.

Yes. She is a good friend.

She also is good at getting herself in danger.

You are not exactly one to play it safe yourself.

Perhaps she will need to rescue me one day.

Perhaps. A relationship of equals, rather than a knight to serve.

She is so gentle.

Nor do I. But she does not want you to have to fight, either.

Usagi does not want anyone to fight.

An admirable position.

[Even if it's impossible.]

And a sad one.

Because eventually things will not turn out that way.

It is no less admirable for being an impossible dream.

It is also more painful, though.

It is a difficult burden to carry. We must do our best to support her.

I will protect her as best I can.

As will I. And the both of us can listen to her.
