This is The Knight.

I wish to talk about families.

What is your family like? Do you have siblings? I have many siblings. More siblings than there are moonblessed. One of them is here with me. They are also a knight. They were one long before I was, and they are very good at it.

I have a child. They were not born by mating, as humans do, but by a dance with myself and my friend Grimm. It was part of an important ritual.

My Father is a King. My Mother is a Tree. Also a Queen.

That is all of my family. Please tell me about yours.

It's up to you. That's what makes it special and... I don't know, important? You have that option and it depends on your opinion.

I'm not really sure what that means. I get some of it, of course, but I can't say I understand all. What matters -- again, in my opinion -- is what you think and how you feel.

It's a difficult thing. To decide a person or persons or your responsibilities. It isn't like fiction where you can always win. Sometimes you have to make a dire choice. Still, what you think matters.

I do not think he did either. I think he accepted that.

My sibling still supports him. They have suffered the most.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Sometimes it's hard to know. Especially in the moment. I've made some hard decisions and sometimes the one that seems better isn't. Sometimes there's no really good options.

Are your siblings here, at least?
