Out of curiosity, how many of you are looking for moonlacing partners? I mean, you could probably just ask a friend or something, but for the more available, what do you have to offer that makes you stand out from the others who are looking for partners?

[It takes him a second, but he does eventually figure out the video on this thing. When he does, he lifts his hand in front of the camera; a second later, Light limns his palm.]

I don't quite understand the rest of your question, though. The Light suffuses everything. Some theorize that it originates from the edge of the known cosmos, but no one's ever gone far enough to check.

[Literal light, it seems, from the video that’s being streamed and Zavala isn’t quite sure how to feel. On one hand, there still could be a relation to his own form of Light, but on the other it’s sounding less and less likely.]

Forgive me for rushing ahead. I, too, come from a place where Light touches, and admittedly I am wondering if yours is somehow related to what I already know. You say your Light may come from the edge of the cosmos…have none of your people traveled to try to find its origin?

Not even the draenei possess starships that powerful. Maybe one day someone will go in honest search of it.

For now, and for me, it's enough that I feel its presence. That I can call it to my fingertips.

[The glow in his hand fades.]

Our Light-

[There’s a slight pause as he tries to put his thoughts into words.]

Our Light is crucial to who we are as Guardians, where I am from. We are risen in it to defend it, we are attuned to it, and we live and die by it. The Light keeps us alive so that we may continue to protect and defend, no matter the foe.

Hmm.

[He rubs his chin. It's easy to mix the metaphorical with the literal with topics like these.]

What do you mean by risen in it, or attuned to it? Is it a physical force? A doctrine? Both? And how does it keep you alive?

[He's deeply interested in this, and that's clear enough from his expression alone--fixed, intense, his acid-green eyes burning bright.]

Apologies for any confusion. My kind, Guardians, we are brought back from the dead by the Light. Without it we would simply remain corpses strewn across the planets, or-

[His frown is actually audible in his tone, and there’s a certain finality and pain as he continues on.]

[He doesn’t elaborate, instead choosing to push forward as if to gloss over that fact.]

It is a force that we may yet never understand, but the Light touches humanity in ways that seem almost god-like. And so we protect it with all that we are.
