[ What does one do after the Cordis cycle, after a tiring few days? Stay in bed and... post because she has nothing better to do. She will be judging everyone. ]
Out of curiosity, how many of you are looking for moonlacing partners? I mean, you could probably just ask a friend or something, but for the more available, what do you have to offer that makes you stand out from the others who are looking for partners?
Show a picture of yourself and what you're looking for. I'll provide a sample.

I'm Eva Rosalene. Here I'm working for the Lunar Scientia; at home I'm a doctor. Not a medical one though.

:)
[he has learned emoji but he still gives them an entirely separate line.]
Maybe we could bake together sometime. I've always liked making food with someone.
May I ask what kind of doctor you are, Eva?
no subject
[Her nephew Jamie is a good kid but cooking with children is work sometimes.]
You could say I'm a psychologist. My work is a little different from that strictly but it's not too far off.

I promise that I'm slightly less messy with flour.
Hmm. Can I ask about the distinction?

Sure but the explanation is probably going to be sort of long. The basic is I'm a senior memory traversal agent with the Sigmund Corporation. Now if you want me to tell you what that is is when we get a little lengthy.
no subject
[He doesn't entirely get it, but memory traversal sounds pretty interesting.]

[Ahem. This likely ends up as several texts. She apologizes.]
Where I'm from we have technology that translates a person's memories into an interactable simulation. Through the machine we can also create new memories based on existing data within the machine and the person's own desires of how they want those memories shaped.
Unfortunately the technology doesn't work well with individuals who regain consciousness for long periods of time. The conflict between the authentic memories and the created ones causes brain damage. With this being the case, the technology is used to give dying patients a chance to live out some wish they have. Only through memories, of course.
So that's what I do alongside my partner. We enter a patient's memories, work our way to their earliest memories and then find a way to implant the desire for whatever their wish is into these memories. From there the machine and the patient themselves create completely new memories shaped around fulfilling that wish.

You compared yourself to a psychologist ... so this is some kind of final therapy, then.

It's basically a chance for them to die content or even happy. Not exactly without regrets most of the time but... even the best lives have regrets.
[She still believes that, honest she does. Even if she's been questioning the job lately and what they do, particularly after their latest case with Collin Reeds. She desperately needs to believe it because otherwise...]

I don't know. I wouldn't want to finish my life that way. I'd die thinking I was someone else.

[And frankly it's sort of the one that haunts her the most.]

There's nothing inherently good or bad about it unless your actions make it good or bad, right? Now maybe if you suddenly didn't want to bake a cupcake with me, we'd have a problem then.
no subject
No, we should definitely bake cupcakes sometime
:)
Do you have a favorite flavor?

[She makes great ones, no matter what Neil says. Neil has no taste.]

I guess you've got a point there. Red velvet is definitely my second choice too. I just happen to really like vegetables.

[Adra is pretty easily rankled, but he's always happy to talk about food!]

[Man just went up more than a few notches with her. She's not a vegetarian herself but yeah.]
I have a pretty decent garden at home. Mostly things like cucumbers, tomatoes, different types of salad greens... I was in an apartment so there isn't much room for anything too big.

Roasted broccolini doused with just a little melted butter
Sauteed mushrooms
Tomatoes and parmesan ... and fingerling potatoes
I had an expansive garden. I miss it already
no subject
[Sauteed mushrooms. Tomatoes and parmesan. Hm.]
Sounds like you would like Italian food quite a bit. How are you with garlic?

I practice meditation, but pulling up weeds and putting together a meal ... those things come close
no subject
I've never really had the time to meditate. ... I suppose I don't have that excuse now, huh.
no subject
No, you certainly don't. I can teach you how, in exchange for the dinner.
