Why do humans have nipples?

the nipple is really only practical for women since when they reach maturity they can produce milk for newborn babies
this is pretty typical of most mammals actually
i actually have no fucking clue why men have nipples
maybe something about when we're still embryos we're still developing so we start off with some of the same parts but the gender forms later while we're still forming
no idea!
but at least they're fun to play with so there you go
