Good afternoon Lunatia!

I'm Larry; Larry Laffer. I'm kind of new around here. It's nice to meet you all!

Now that Halloween/Geistnacht festivities are wrapping up, we're headed into November, or what we just call "the eleventh month" around here, I guess. Anyway, where I come from, there's a holiday called Thanksgiving that falls on the fourth Thursday of the month. It is what it says on the tin: a harvest holiday to give thanks for the previous year's crop. You celebrate it by hanging out with your family and loved ones, eat a gratuitous amount of seasonally appropriate food and drink, and watch sports on television together.

I'd like to host something like that here, if anyone would be interested. I know some of us might be missing our families from back home, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate the friends and lovers that we've made here! Bring all the food and/or booze your heart desires, but as the host it's my responsibility to make the bird. (Whatever is the closest I can find to a turkey around here.)

On an absolutely related note, I could use someone on consult that knows how to cook.

This is meant to be an "open to all ages" kind of thing, but I was thinking that we could also have a post-dessert dessert of an orgy for those who qualify. That's not part of the tradition, but that doesn't mean we can't make it ours. I just figured that maybe everyone would like to leave the party topped off with turkey and Chroma for their holiday shopping. No pressure or anything, though!

Um, no. I briefly visited the 21st century before coming here and they still didn't have flying cars then, either. No jetpacks or sex robots either. But no one is allowed to smoke indoors anymore, and we have the Internet now, which is pretty cool.

Aw man, what a rip off. The only robots we got keep trying to kill my team. The no-smoking thing is fine, that stuff smells gross. What's an inner net?

It's a network that connects computers so that they can communicate with each other. It's like ARPANET but available to consumers! We're talking over the Internet right now.

[Or what he thinks is the Internet anyway.]

I have no idea what any of that means. I thought they just called this the network.

Our devices beep-boop at each other to send our messages. That's a network.

Back where I'm from, people use it to get laid. I thought this one existed for the same reason, but...I guess not.

Oh, nah, you were right the first time. Just most people use it to pick up one or two people, not the whole freaking city. That took balls.

Looks like they might be up for food, though?

I'll take what I can get. And hey, maybe they'll be appealed to enough to stick around. You never know!

Maybe. But if it's just you and me for the after-party, I ain't sticking around. No hard feelings, yeah?

And do you want us to bring something? Cause I can, but. I'm not a great cook.

Oh, don't worry. I would prefer if you did. I'm not into guys, but it's my apartment, so I can't leave.

Whatever you want! The more the merrier, both for people and for food.

I can bring chips. Or rolls? Yeah, rolls would be the thing, huh. Or pie.

I think there's already quite a few desserts on their way already, but chips and rolls would be perfect. Dip and/or salsa would be nice too.
