Voice; un: daisy
[The transmission is technically a video - though throughout it all the screen remains unevenly black and rough-textured, as if a piece of fabric had been tossed across the lens of the camera. The voice that speaks is recognizably Daisy Tonner's, though there's a faint burr and growl to it, as if it had been run through a sound modifying program. Or something.]
All right. Suppose anyone with an opinion can chime in, but this is mostly for the Sanguis lot. Or anyone else who gets . . . like that. Bloodthirsty.
[It's such a crawlingly, hideously personal thing to ask. But if there was ever a place she might find people who could come close to understanding her own situation, this might be it. And she has to try.]
How do you get through it?

Good to know. But if I start, I don't know if I'll be able to stop again.

[ She considers it for a moment. ]
If it isn't too personal, what kind of powers do you have? I've met a lot of people by now-- [ Between traveling to three different worlds and all. ] --maybe I know someone I could recommend. Or there may be someone that could help you keep it under control, instead. [ She'd consider offering if she weren't also Sanguis. ]
Video
I'm- I suppose you'd call me a Hunter. [How audible that capital H is, she doesn't know. She doesn't think it makes much difference, herself.] Or that's what I was, for a long time. Until I decided to stop.
[There's a towel covering the lens of the camera, and she lifts it off with careful teeth, close enough to the propped-up communicator that for a moment all there is is rustling and the too-close unfocused blur of scales, and hair, and a moment of fogged breath and long teeth.
Then she pads back, far enough out that the camera can take in all of what she's been under every unopposed Sanguis moon, a large wolflike, serpentine figure, dense fur and scaled belly and too-bright slitted gold eyes. When she speaks again, it's very clear that the growl on the edge of each word is not any kind of filter.]
Plus a few days a month, there's this.
Video;
To be polite Katara follows suit to video, which gives Daisy a clear view of her own current state, a pair of leathery wings just barely visible, disappearing into the top of the frame. There are delicate blue scales peeking from beneath the collar at her neck, too. Her transformation isn't nearly as extreme, but she's begun experiencing the exalted traits now.
If she's surprised by the extent of Daisy's transformation it doesn't show beyond a brief widening of her green slitted eyes. She does offer an understanding smile after, though. She looks like the sort of creature she'd see back home, though calling her a "creature" even for comparison's sake seems cruel, and she holds her tongue on that. ]
The transformation is pretty jarring the first time, isn't it? Have you considered maybe hunting in the wilderness at the edge of the city? I don't know if it's enough to scratch the itch for everyone, but there are wild animals out there... And you could always sell whatever supplies you get from it?
[ God this is SO AWKWARD she feels really terrible for suggesting resorting to giving into animalistic instinct, BUT HEY. She's been a wolf-fish, and before that a dragon-bird back in Ourana. Sometimes the urge is just the urge! ]

Mm. Catching fish did help, once. [Before it got a bit cold for that.] We're allowed to hunt out there?

I don't think there are any laws against it, nothing that I've heard at least. They have to get their supplies from somewhere, right?
