Voice; un: daisy

[The transmission is technically a video - though throughout it all the screen remains unevenly black and rough-textured, as if a piece of fabric had been tossed across the lens of the camera. The voice that speaks is recognizably Daisy Tonner's, though there's a faint burr and growl to it, as if it had been run through a sound modifying program. Or something.]

All right. Suppose anyone with an opinion can chime in, but this is mostly for the Sanguis lot. Or anyone else who gets . . . like that. Bloodthirsty.

[It's such a crawlingly, hideously personal thing to ask. But if there was ever a place she might find people who could come close to understanding her own situation, this might be it. And she has to try.]

It becomes easier each time, but plan to come out of it injured for the first several transformations. Make sure you have someone to help you heal afterward.

I had one particularly close call because I could not ignore my need to fight. I would have died if I did not have someone to help after. I am sorry that you are Sanguis, but the only other advice I have is that you stay away from others like us. Fighting and confrontation is nearly unavoidable when both sides are itching for a fight.

[Ardyn would normally respond via text, but the changes to his voice this Sanguis were funny enough, in light of his previous post, to warrant using the audio response. And they were changes: he'd always had notable voice, whether 'attractive' or 'creepy', and now it was all amplified.

He sounded like he was smiling. ]

Self-control, mostly, but when one is goaded... well, it helps to know there's something else that could make some Sanguis fall out a little bit... dicey.

[Ooh, sound modification. This gets Engineer's interest. More importantly, though, the question:]

I signed up for a lot of fights at Buwan's Stop back when I first got here. It ain't... ideal, but sanctioned fights was better than pickin' 'em on the street. Which... I also did, the first time around.

[He doesn't sound to proud of it.]

Couple months in, though, I got a punching bag. Granted, the whole "super strength" thing means you might go through... a couple of 'em.

Other than that, I've been tryin' to work on my self control. And some months aren't as "bloodthirsty" as others. But I reckon know better than anyone right now that's easier said than done.

Staying put in my place. Gym, when as few people as possible are there. Bars, same. But a little bit a trouble goes a long way for me. Or, it has so far...

'Know myself. Know what'll set me off and do my best to avoid those things. I've found a uh--someone willing to put up with me, we spend most've the Sanguis phases together.

Just having someone I like around can help a lot, now that I'm thinking of it. S'calming.

I try to do yoga and other calming things, like meditation, or going for a swim in cold water, but I don't think I need to tell you it isn't always enough.

When that happens, I'm lucky enough that I found people from my world. They'd know what they'd be getting into if we spar... and sometimes I really can't help myself.

[ Bloodbending is not something she's fond of, but she's felt the edge a few times... had the nightmares. Not gonna mention that casually, though. ]

Honestly, though, you might be surprised. Even people with... unique power sets can usually find their match in a group this big and varied, if that's what you're worried about?

Fight someone.
