... Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to look into finding somewhere to y'know. Spar. Train. Keep the rust off their fighting skills in case we get something worse than a sewer full of giant vines trying to swat us like flies for the hell of it. That kind of thing. Is there anywhere around here that would fit that kind of criteria?

What're the chances of half of those Knights they've got posted around here sticking their noses where they aren't wanted? Most of the Knightly types I've come across aren't the type to just nod and let a bunch of people waving weapons around get on with their day without throwing a tantrum.

And if that's the case and the chances are high... whereabouts here are they least likely to go snooping?

Or take the longest to get to. I'm not picky.

Yeah, if you can see the bigger picture it changes things. It's just dependent on what you want to do - some people focus on magic over physical abilities, or supplementing their physical skills with healing. Or whatever they think is better.

[ He's seen Flynn use base level healing spells, after all. ]

That's actually similar to my experience too. I focused more on magic compared to two of my other friends who were training with me.

[ Terra's style was almost entirely keyblade strikes, even if he could use the same spells as most other people that she knew.]

Magic always seemed kinda... fiddly. Powerful as hell, sure, but straight up spells never really worked for me.

But when they can do something like destroy half a building or something intense like that, then it's nothing to sneeze at.

[ He can thread fire into a strike, or combine it with some basic healing but he can't be bothered to do a straight up spell with no strikes involved. ]

No, stuff like that really isn't.

Are spells of that caliber what you're used to seeing back home? Or are those the exception?

Depends on the user and what they're casting. I've seen a certain someone wreck the field with a Mystic Arte before, but I also know someone who can heal wounds and does so like it's going out of style.

Or did, I guess. Either way, there are lots of artes. Not all of them are solely magical.

Okay, that seems similar to the type of magic that I know about. With how different all the worlds we've come from are though, it's difficult to know if we're even talking about the same thing when we talk about magic.

Yet, sword strikes remain the same. See why I have preferences?

At least you know if your strike didn't land, and can get away instead of hanging around waiting for a magic arte to hit.

Alright. That's a little different from what I'm used to. Most of the magic that I know and use I know if it's hit or not pretty quickly.

[Also didn't necessarily need her to keep standing in the same spot either. ]

Oh, you know if it hit. It's just the casting that's too static for me. In the time it takes you to cast, I could just hit the thing.

Okay, that's a little different than the magic that I know. Most of the spells I know... or at least would actually use in battle, don't really take that long to cast.

...Though if I'm close enough to hit what I'm fighting, I'd probably just attack it without magic instead.
