... Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to look into finding somewhere to y'know. Spar. Train. Keep the rust off their fighting skills in case we get something worse than a sewer full of giant vines trying to swat us like flies for the hell of it. That kind of thing. Is there anywhere around here that would fit that kind of criteria?

What're the chances of half of those Knights they've got posted around here sticking their noses where they aren't wanted? Most of the Knightly types I've come across aren't the type to just nod and let a bunch of people waving weapons around get on with their day without throwing a tantrum.

And if that's the case and the chances are high... whereabouts here are they least likely to go snooping?

Or take the longest to get to. I'm not picky.

[ Hypothetically speaking, of course. ]

I imagine they wouldn't leave well enough alone, same as anything else.

The outskirts of the city might suit your purposes. I'd suggest less accessible rooftops, but their machinery could reach it just as well as someone like me could.

I'd give you a lift if you needed one, but their tin soldiers can find their own means.

Aside from avoiding those areas, avoiding populous areas would likely be ideal. The less Prismals wandering by, the better.

Knights have to train somewhere, so then wouldn't it make sense that there are proper training grounds where they wouldn't interrupt you?
albionchanged: (I don't understand...)

[personal profile] albionchanged 2019-04-20 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
But if you train on an actual training ground then why does it matter if they patrol?

It would give me a chance to stretch my wings, besides. I don't doubt that Lucifer would offer similar aid.

The locals might call on the scientists who were so keen to study us. But if they have no abilities similar to some of ours, it might be cause for unfounded alarm.

But if it's training and no one is actually hurt and you can explain as much then why would they stop it? I'm pretty sure they have more important things to do than keep checking.

In my experience the beach seems like a reasonable option. I don't think I've seen many of the knights there whenever I've gone there.

[ Also she and Invi had a spar that was more like an all out war and nothing happened. She can't imagine his training being anything more worrying than that. ]

Twice. Though I only ended up sparring with someone there one time.

If there were any of the knights around though, they probably would've tried to stop us. That sparring session got pretty... intense.

Yes, he and I have the same number now.

[Which isn't entirely new, but the last time that was the case was very different.

Since he's been able to return Lucifer's wings, why not give him an excuse to use them?]

My expectation is "something else", but all we can do is see how they behave, at this juncture.

Fair enough. Hard-to-reach locations that civilians won't notice should minimize trouble.
albionchanged: (Never had such a connection.)

If that's what they wanted to do then would it really be a good idea for us to be allowed to wander around?

This place is more straightfoward than any I've been like it. That might mean anything though, I know.

I’ve actually been wondering about this myself, but I do doubt that it’s going to be that much of a problem to get something organized. Well, hopefully, anyway. Nothing has given me the impression that this is a particularly authoritarian state or that the government has revolutionary movements to be concerned about, so I’m honestly more concerned about space.

Those vines couldn't even put up a good fight. Dealing with it felt more like taking out the trash.

I'm not a gardener.

Hey if you want an opponent then I'm game.

Seconding the beach. My fights tend to get a little intense!

Whatever you're trying to pull, I'm in!

Is this an indirect slight against me? I don't recall throwing a tantrum in your direction.

[ Not that he's a knight anymore, but he knows Yuri still lumps him with whatever knights troubled him in the past. ]

I was able to spar with Elric in the park just fine without being bothered.

And he’s a small sixteen year old boy and I’m an adult soldier so I would have completely understood if the Knights had decided to break up our sparring. But they didn’t.

Isn't that what a gym is for? Of course, it might be against a facility's rules to not use a training weapon. Which you should be doing anyway.
