... Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to look into finding somewhere to y'know. Spar. Train. Keep the rust off their fighting skills in case we get something worse than a sewer full of giant vines trying to swat us like flies for the hell of it. That kind of thing. Is there anywhere around here that would fit that kind of criteria?

What're the chances of half of those Knights they've got posted around here sticking their noses where they aren't wanted? Most of the Knightly types I've come across aren't the type to just nod and let a bunch of people waving weapons around get on with their day without throwing a tantrum.

And if that's the case and the chances are high... whereabouts here are they least likely to go snooping?

Or take the longest to get to. I'm not picky.

Sure, I don't pretend it doesn't. The higher up you are, the more dangerous you become though. If you're controlling laws to protect yourself, and getting the so-called "protectors" of the realm to narrow their list of protectees down to "just you", then what hope does anyone else have?

Surprisingly, I agree with you. Laws shouldn't be created to benefit the wealthy and noble houses alone. Rest assured, I wouldn't allow such a thing to happen. In my realm, even those of the lowest classes will be protected from harm rather than mistreated. I intend to create laws fairly and with the aid of advisers from all tiers.

[ A king must be able to listen to the needs of those on all fronts and as much as plans to get to know his own people, he's only one man among tens of thousands. He doesn't want anyone to be left out and to live in fear of the lawless or to be drained dry from over-taxation. ]

As for an ideal training ground, the Eleran Amphitheater has training grounds that can be utilized by those who gain access. I can negotiate on your behalf to allow you to practice your combat training with little interruption.

Hm. Depends on if you uphold that or not -- the road to hell is pretty much paved, lined and decorated with good intentions. Keep it in mind though and maybe you'll do fine.

I have my fore-bearers to look towards and learn from. I don't intend to repeat their mistakes. Other kings are too quick to sweep the past beneath the first rug they find, but I will acknowledge it.

And it does between tournaments. I happen to frequent the training grounds to practice when it's not in use.
