Promotional materials!
To celebrate the opening of Khan el-Khalili down in Caihong, I'm doing a one time only offer!
Ask a question, and post a number between (and including) 0 and 21. Or, if you have something more complex than that, you're welcome to come on down to the shop itself and book in for a reading! I also sell fresh eggs, incense, cooking spices hand-dried by me, and other goods from local artisans!
I can also be found in the Groves on the weekends outside of Sanguis, Iris, and Triple Moon days.

Ummm, let's see. My question is: is someone going to ask me out for a date on Christmas Eve, or should I be the one who does the asking? And for my number...17!

As for your query...The Star! I really like the Star, I won't lie. And it says that you should follow your own guiding star...And do the asking! It bodes incredibly well for you forging your own path.
(I know that takes away some of the romanticism, but you strike me as an incredibly modern woman anyway.)

The Star, huh...I think I remember something about that one, actually. Doesn't it come right after the Tower, and it's something about new beginnings after big upheavals or changes?

You're also spot-on about the Star. It's the winter ice thawing to reveal fresh spring growth, inspiration, cleverness and following your guiding star. Between us...I gave that card out of my deck from home to Leone. I'm hoping that he can find that meaning in it for himself, but I didn't want to ruin what it might come to mean for him by telling him. You don't think that was a little too hokey of me, do you? You're a little more...Hm.
I would trust you if you told me that something was a little too intense or old-fashioned, is what I'm getting at. Your opinion is one I value very much.

As for what I think about the Star and all that...
Actually, I think it's kind of funny that the thing you're worried about is being too intense or old-fashioned, because really what you're describing just sounds like you being you! Being a fortune-teller is a part of who you are, so doing things like that is just a part of your strong personality.
And I think that's what he likes most in people, are people who are confident just being themselves. Not that they don't care what other people think AT ALL, but just...people who know how to be themselves as hard as they can, without hesitation. Does that make sense?

You're right, though. I really don't know why I worry so much; I think it's more that, when I think about things too long, I start to second-guess myself. That, and I know how much you and Leone mean to each other, so I crumble somewhat...I apologise for making you give me the same talk twice, Miss Sugimoto. It's quite unfair of me!
(And you made perfect sense! I can only be myself, and that's all he's ever wanted of me in the first place. To try and be anything else would be dishonest, wouldn't it?)

[...Which. Sounds a lot different when she says it figuratively aloud than when it's just something in her head that she knows. Um. Hmm. That's...hmm.]
Oh, no...you're not jealous of how close we are, are you? Because trust me, you definitely don't have anything to be worried about!
no subject
NO
Oh goodness no, Miss Sugimoto! I'm so sorry, I,
sld,;
SORRY I tried to erase that
I'm not jealous, though! At all! It really is just a matter of treasuring your opinion. I meant that my confidence in my actions crumbles and I'm compelled to ask for your advice, even though I know that you'll likely tell me the same thing you've told me twice now, which is to hurry up and keep being myself, and
this sounds very silly, but I wouldn't dream of begrudging you or Leone such a wonderful, meaningful relationship, that's what I'm trying to say. I'm so sorry!

Actually, I'm pretty flattered that you value my opinion...and the truth is, I'm pretty grateful to you, too. He's been so happy ever since you guys started being together. I don't want to be that busybody person who's always poking their nose into their friends' business or anything, but it makes me really glad that you guys are doing well.
no subject
Hm...Maybe that's it. I think that we're
how to put it
It's not poking your nose into someone else's business, since I feel as though...It's somewhat your business too? Not only because you inspired me to take that first step with Leone, but it's just natural that my boyfriend's little sister should want her big brother to be happy, correct? So it really is your business to a degree, and I'm truly glad that I haven't let either of you down in this. I think that disappointing him or you would actually hurt me, ha!
By the way...Were you asking about a certain someone, with regards to being asked out for Lunatian Christmas? Is there any way I can interfere for your benefit, hmmmmm??
no subject
You guys really are made for each other, though, you know that? Just listening to you both talk...you're really on a wavelength. It's kind of funny, really.
Um. But!
I...haha, um. I...might've had someone in mind when I asked that, yeah...

(And just so that you don't think I don't appreciate it incredibly, I'm really very glad that you, of all people, would say that Leone and I are suited. I already knew that, but it's nice to hear it from someone else. It's just also...A little embarrassing, how happy it makes me! Haha!)

But...yeah, I was thinking about Secrets-kun. He's...really, really great, and nice, and responsible. He's a business owner too! He's actually been helping me out a lot with how to get mine started. And he's cute, and warm, and makes me feel safe.
I really like him a whole lot...he won me a stuffed animal on our first date, isn't that cute?
no subject
Actually, I suppose I have to drop the bastardry now, because from what you're saying about this boy...He sounds like quite a catch. At least a worthwhile contact, if he's helping you business-wise, but if he can make you feel safe and treasured, then...
I like him. Especially after the stuffed animal manoeuvre; that's a classic, sure, but it still shows care for you over worry about his personal image for trying a game with stuffed animals in the first place. So as long as he keeps this up, maybe I won't have to go intimidating anyone on your behalf! (And besides, I wouldn't want to scare him off when you like him so much. You really do deserve to feel special in every way, Miss Sugimoto.)
