To celebrate the opening of Khan el-Khalili down in Caihong, I'm doing a one time only offer!
Ask a question, and post a number between (and including) 0 and 21. Or, if you have something more complex than that, you're welcome to come on down to the shop itself and book in for a reading! I also sell fresh eggs, incense, cooking spices hand-dried by me, and other goods from local artisans!
I can also be found in the Groves on the weekends outside of Sanguis, Iris, and Triple Moon days.

Will we have a peaceful winter holiday, here? 16.

As for the reading! The Tower...Well. It depends on your personal perception, this card moreso than others. From my standing, however, I'm of the opinion that it's chaotic around here, even if it's a fun chaos, so it'll be a violent switch to peace!
However, if you think that it's more peaceful than chaotic, then...The opposite will become true. Revolution, triumph, change for better or worse. It'll be an interesting winter, that's for sure!
the lisa frank I'm DYING
I think a "violent" switch to peace would be befitting of winter holidays, so I certainly hope your reading is correct. I'd agree that it's quite chaotic around here with the moons and the mishaps at every turn as more and more chroma seeps into our surroundings.
Either way, I'll try to keep my chin up and look forward to it. Are there any traditions you're looking forward to upholding?
Thank you for the reading! I'll be sure to stop by some time with something nice for you and your ladies.
we gotta have the prismatica aesthetic for tarot okay! we gotta commit!
yeah u right... good call tbh

so there's this guy i'm seeing
and i wanted to know what some of his preferred romantic gestures might be
got any suggestions?
basard!!
My personal opinion, however, would be...Something that makes you think of this guy. Something personal, that matters to you, so he could treasure it no matter what it was, because it would make him think of you and his memories with you. Memories are what make us who we are, and shape us into our future selves.
And we have futures.

The Magician is a particular favourite of mine, though I'm a touch biased. ...Unfortunately, although it's not reversed or anything, the Magician does tend to lean towards freedom and independent thinking, and doesn't seem to have any omen of partnering up at all. In fact, it might even discourage that to a degree, lest you disregard everyone else around you.
I'm sorry that I couldn't give you better news, but at least it seems that you'll bloom on your own, all the same!

Ummm, let's see. My question is: is someone going to ask me out for a date on Christmas Eve, or should I be the one who does the asking? And for my number...17!
no subject
As for your query...The Star! I really like the Star, I won't lie. And it says that you should follow your own guiding star...And do the asking! It bodes incredibly well for you forging your own path.
(I know that takes away some of the romanticism, but you strike me as an incredibly modern woman anyway.)

speaking of though, something simple]

hows my next moon cycle looking?

You chose the Hermit, by the by! ...It speaks of retreat, withdrawing from the outside world to do some soul-searching and reflection. I know that sounds rather dire, but typically it's allowing for clarity and wisdom; a break from the hustle and bustle of life to find yourself.
(Mind you, in the past I personally just holed up during my moon cycle to keep from being embarrassed, so take it as you will, as always.)

Thank you though, Zed. It makes me happy that people still take so well to a profession like mine...And I still owe you a drink, so how about we make it a two-for-one deal? Celebration and story-swapping over your poison of choice?

Video (because it's just his preferred format)
Why do you read fortunes? [Yes, that is his question.] Seventeen.
video in return!
uh
reveals that he's currently still a jellyfish man, translucent enough that little streaks of light easily flicker through his bright blue skin and mass of tendril hair. Oh, the joys of Iris.]
Hello! I...Fear that the cards are only any good when used as a lens for one's future, not for that which has already occurred. I'll still gladly answer your question, but the number's moot, I'm afraid.
[He smiles warmly, shifting about in the mess of blankets that he's currently huddled in, and drums his free hand against his cheek in thought.] ...I like giving people hope and help. Now, don't get me wrong; I'm not peddling hot air to fools. I have morals, and I would never use the privilege I have as a fortune-teller to simply make money. But the tarot helps people make decisions and better themselves, or prepare for the stresses of life.
For instance, you picked the Star. The Star typically represents hope and freedom, the thaw of the ice revealing green growth underneath. But, depending on your question, it could mean somewhat different things. 'Should I get back with a former lover?' The Star would tell you not to, to look for something new instead of returning to the old and safe. 'Should I give my child money to help them out yet again?' No, you allow them to learn the lesson of self-reliance. You look after yourself. 'Will things get better?' The Star shines brightest before dawn, and so things will look up in time, as long as you take steps to save yourself, and allow yourself to hope.
All similar themes, but different answers. And that's without accounting for the reversed position, which gives a card a different meaning altogether. I also find that sort of thing interesting, which helps me to love what I do.

On the other hand that palm reading he got that one time turned out to be shockingly correct. And he has a question that's been weighing on him for a while now. And it couldn't hurt.]
I frequent Caihong so I'm sure I'll stop in eventually. One can never have enough incense. But I would like to know:
How permanent is my stay here going to be?
[Because if all he got was less than a full year back on his native Earth before getting shipped back out into inter-dimensional Russian roulette forever, he's going to be really annoyed.]
I also don't believe it would be fair to pick my own number when I am well-versed in the order of the Major Arcana. I have taken the liberty of randomizing a number instead.
6.
[Ha ha. Of course it would be.]

Obviously, we both know you got the Lovers. And really, I could say short or long either way; I think it might depend on your own view of love, really. Do you think that love lasts a lifetime, or that it's little more than a flash in the pan that gives way to affection and companionship with another person in the long term? That would be the easiest answer to your question.
However, I might also pose this question to you in return. I assume that your desired permanence here is nil, and that you want to return home quickly. But what is an acceptable maximum for you? Find the middle point between those two ends of your spectrum.

You got the Priestess! That bodes incredibly, wonderfully well for you! She is a font of inspiration and creativity, imagination blooming in rich, multi-talented minds. This place will not only be a marvellous source of inspiration for your work, but readers will be very much open to the stories you record!

forgive the mystical bullshit, the hanged man is a bitch of a read sdhglk
However, impersonalisation allows you to see things differently from others, doesn't it? You...have a cause, that you've sacrificed a lot for, and you need to see things that everyone else doesn't to get there. And maybe the way you see yourself is part of your power...
You'll know when the time is right.
ah sorry! thank you though!
oh no don't be sorry omg!! it was fun to think of a way to write it up, it's just extra Mystic Shit

If I may, I’d like to ask you about my sister waiting for me back home. I’m a little bit worried about her, so I suppose it would be nice to know whether or not she’s alright.
Oh! And as for a number! Shall we say 12?
no subject
As for the reading...The Hanged Man. I'm going to be honest with you and say that it's not the most positive card to have for this sort of question. You see, it tends to indicate...Punishment, isolation, marginalisation. However, it can also mean endurance and finding yourself in the silence that isolation can bring, so whatever she might face back home...
She will persevere. She will become stronger, and know herself better for it. That much, I can promise you.
