It's Megumi, Matriarch of the Utakata Tribe. I come from the Star of Hydaelyn. We didn't meet on your world... but on another, before this one.

I don't remember it much, myself, but it was called Duplicity. Suppose it's become a trend for worlds like these to pull folks from others, aye?

[ And with a gesture towards him with her head- ]

What do you last recall, anyroad?

I only wish I could recall you. It isn't impossible, what you describe, but something I was not expecting. Forgive me, Megumi.

[ Reading that is a bit bittersweet, but she's learnt to roll with it. ]

[ Though her gaze softens at that. ]

Guessing you still need some time to process that, but I have a feeling being locked in a coffin might just make you think a little too much, aye?

You underestimate how long I can sleep.

They do. And I know I will. Perhaps I deserve to dream of him.

I've read enough vampire romances to know how that works. And a couple of terrible ones, too. The kind where- oh, they sparkle, for one.

Watched that with Adrian- er. You. As well. I think we both didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Maybe before you decide on sleeping your days away, you could watch that tale with me again.

Sparkling romantic vampires. People come up with so many interesting things.

Is it... a movie? I have heard of those.

Aye, a movie! Never had those on my star, but I've gotten used to them here. They're fun to take friends out to!

[ And her ears are wiggling in enthusiasm. ]

We don't have to watch a terrible one, though. Or one about vampires, at all. But I think everyone should be subjected to Twinklevamp: Broken Dusk at least once to know what not to do.

Have you been able to explore the city levels at all?

I have a bit. It's an interesting place. Humans were never so advanced in my world, nor vampires really. The closest was Dracula's castle.
Even that doesn't quite compare to much of the technology here.

[menphina]

Dracula's castle... I think what we had in comparison was— Garlean technology. It definitely wasn't like this. And it's Garlean. They don't actually like anyone that isn't them. Anyroad...
