Greetings.
I have a request to make and am willing to pay as one sees fit.
I need a coffin to be made with careful specifications. Some requirements would include ensuring that it is made with the intent to last for many years, the interior to be comfortable enough for a man to rest in, and perhaps a few other details depending on your skill set.
Before you ask, yes. It is for me.
Take that as you will.

you'd have to stay awake
that's pretty much what you just said
right

I was duty bound to do a few things. My last task is something I cannot do here, so I see little point in not continuing with my previous intentions.

I have no obligation to fulfill that as I am here indefinitely.

so you won't just stay awake on your own
you have to have a reason
hmmm
ok then

if you're going to do something stupid you'd better get used to people telling you you're being stupid
what if i decided to sleep forever
you'd just be ok with that?

anyway put some shoes on
i'm going out and you're coming
no subject
And where are we going?
no subject
you don't have enough money for a coffin anyway
and even if you did it's gonna take some time to make it
so like it or not you're stuck here awake for a while
can't learn shit about the local customs just sitting in your house
no subject
But I suppose I can leave the flat for awhile. Where are we meeting?
no subject
[also if you were a baby fifty years ago then how old are you]
anyway just give me directions to your house
i'll come pick you up
[and then know where you live]

Very well.
[CLEVER PLOY, he doesn't really even think about it. He sends the address with some landmarks to explain where it is.]

Someday he'll take the time to contemplate the parallels of everything he's doing. The way Alucard and his strange sense of honor contrasts so strongly to what he'd grown to expect of Dio, despite both being vampires. The way he's selfish about Alucard's company because here and there, little flashes of things, feel comfortable the way that long car rides through the desert were comfortable, sitting in cafes watching Kakyoin show off or smoking cigarettes with Polnareff or staying up late at night talking in the spaces between the pleasant silence.
The way that you can't go to sleep starts to take on the same tenor and tone of Jotaro, come out of that cell, and how he knows how it feels to lock yourself away from everything, and how sometimes it's still better when someone with inexplicable honor shows up and drags you out.
Someday he'll wonder if he's doing this because it feels like saving something. Because Alucard treats this like an inevitability and he himself still rejects the notion of impossible things. Maybe it's because if he fixates on this, he doesn't have the time to dwell on the fates of his friends.
Maybe he's just crazy. Maybe it's that, too.]
ok that's not that far
be there soon
[And off he goes, taking his time in transit before locating the flat and banging obnoxiously on the front door when he finds it.]
no subject
He raises a brow.] You really didn't have to knock so hard.
[ANYWAY. Shuts the door behind him.]
Where are we going?
no subject
[He had literally no plan for this whatsoever but making it up as he goes usually works out pretty well given his past experiences so here we go.]
And I guess if you see something else to look at. Or whatever.
no subject
...Thank you. For coming to see me.
no subject
[Well...what? Well. Well, he did, and here he is, and...so this is what they're doing. It's a good idea. He knows it's a good idea. It just...
Somehow it seemed a lot easier when it was just words on a screen and an impulse he couldn't let go of than when he's here now, in reality, playing it out.]
...You talked to me. That one night. So.
no subject
...And you seemed to have good reason to be agitated.

[...]
You need to grab anything before we go? Something to hold your books in?
no subject
[There's a pause. No, wait. He hasn't really had much contact with anyone, has he? So his strength is quite sapped.]
I suppose I'll just have to find a bag on the way to or from, should I find enough books to read.
