[ The woman looking to the camera has probably been through worse. She looks like there's some powdered sugar on her nose, her glasses are askew, and her sweater definitely has some chocolate smudges, but hey... at least her rabbit ears are fine? At the very least, she looks determined, like the utter mess behind her isn't fazing her in the slightest. ]
There are others here who celebrate by making their gifts, aren't there? Whether it be Firialia or Starlight or - anything, really. Since we're all ushered away here... or, well - supposed to be? Is anyone truly braving that icy tundra? - either way, since many of us are here, perhaps it'd be helpful to make gifts together.
I imagine those who have just appeared here may not have much in the way of Chroma to buy anything if they have someone close to them here, and there are some of us who are doubtless better with our hands than finances. The villa I managed to rent is far too big for just two people, so I've no problem having a few over if one wishes not to craft alone.
I'm not stepping out into that snow if I can help it. [ She grimaces. ] It's simply not good weather for a desert-dweller.

Regardless, I have to assume that the cold will not last forever. It seems unfortunate timing. Surely you have means of staying warm.

i can't say whether or not it is metal though as ive not gotten a good look
ishgardian knights did wear armor in the cold though
and yes i am perfectly warm indoors with my hot chocolate and fireplace
and knitting, soon enough
even if you like the weather i would hope you're warm too
one can have too much cold
no subject
I will say that the hospitality here has guaranteed warmth, though I suspect I may go out and play in the snow as a means of feeling a sense of familiarity. Everything else can be foreign, but I am finding the cold weather something stable.
Although I will not deny that hot chocolate sounds good. Mayhaps I will need to see about acquiring some also.

but i'd hope you cant be too warm
either way i hope you have fun out in the snow
i've seen some of the prismals making animals out of it?
it looked like they had fun.
if your hands get cold hot chocolate is always the best choice to fix it
at least in my opinion

Although it seems you have given me an appropriate way to spend mine time. Snow appreciation and then chocolate. Thank you. I pray that you will continue to find a welcoming warmth. I would not wish the cold on anyone who did not desire it.

making snow sculptures does sound like something regarded as childish or uncouth in ishgard
all the more reason to do it in my opinion
but
you are welcome
i'm happy to help, always

I did not anticipate to find such kindness here, or in the presence of those from mine home world. I shall take care not to shirk your courtesies.
no subject
it's heartening in a way
but you dont have to be too formal
no subject
I make no promises where formality is concerned. I suspect in time the conversation of those around me may alter mine posturing. In slight. If I should permit it to. Until then, hopefully it shall not be unbearable for those enduring mine presence.
no subject
your presence isn't unbearable at all
there was a young woman who penned her responses like a letter earlier is all
all formal and the like
i wanted to make sure you knew you didn't have to do that
i have a friend who is similarly formal so it's no issue for me
no subject
If you do not mind mine prying, how long have you been here?
no subject
i've been here about a moon
others have been here many moons
though that means something different here since they have three
no subject
You have not been here long, then, yet certainly longer than I have been. Although a courteous man upon mine arrival did explain things as they were for me. I have had adequate time to reluctantly accept the concept of their moons. Although I must needs inquire—are the moons and their respective cycles as horrid as they sound?
no subject
i belong to the "iris" moon if i remember correctly
the last time i had a rabbit's tail and feathery wings
it wasn't very bad at all

suppose?
no subject
that explains quite a few things actually
no subject
I see. That is unfortunate. I suppose it better to be aware of it. I had hoped it was exaggerated, in truth.
no subject
i understand that you may prefer to not disclose it
but i don't think you have much to fear

were you able to secure a place for yourself here away from the city?
no subject
Most unfortunate timing on mine part, it would seem.
no subject
i arrived as prismals and moonblessed, children included!! were being kidnapped and put under the control of some sort of sorcerer
and before then i heard there were some dragged off into a stream?
no rest for the wicked i suppose
no subject
I suppose the only upside is that if anyone was anticipating a rather dull stay, they will certainly caught unawares. Although I confess that the thought of such happenstance is troublesome, at best. Is this kind of thing a common occurrence?
no subject
i would like to say no
however the pattern i've heard of says yes
