[Perne has chosen to address the happenstance (i.e., being in Lunatia) with a great deal of professionalism. At least, as much as she can muster given the situation. Her device is propped up on a very standard table in what is likely her apartment. She sits in front of it, posture prim and proper.
Evidently she has been bracing herself for this particular conversation and even if she's not confident in having it, her tone remains even. Again, professionalism. Or at least the closest thing to it.]
It is to mine knowledge that this 'network' is capable of reaching all of those possessing the same device—in short, those of us referred to as Moonblessed individuals.
Some of you I have already had the esteemed privilege to meet. For those of you with whom I am not yet acquainted, I am Lady Perne de Archevauliere. Simply 'Perne' shall suffice if you have need to address me by name.
[Her posture is already straight, but it doesn't stop her from trying to straighten up even more. Her hands linger beneath the table, undoubtedly betraying her fidgeting as a means to keep such from creeping into her relatively stern expression.]
I have been adequately informed on the situation at hand facing all of us in the same role. Given the nature of this place, its currency and its resource, I have an interest in making an accord. That is to say, I am seeking voluntary candidates for this 'Moonlacing' that must needs occur. I have no interest in informal or inappropriate proceedings under such pretences. As such, mine standards for who I will accept will need to be met in full and to mine satisfaction before I shall consider any such agreement or accord to be in effect.
You may meet with me in person if you care to and do not trust me via visual. Mine requirements do not, however, require this to be part of the initial process.
[She might as well be hiring for a job with the way she discusses it. Who knows. Maybe she'll lighten up in time, but considering how stubborn and bullheaded she can sometimes be... mayhaps not.]

Lady Perne, for what reason do you choose to participate in moonlacing?
Do you intend to facilitate the rebuilding efforts of this land?
no subject
Any benefit it has for the land itself is secondary.
[If survival wasn't a part of it, Perne would be quite content to keep everyone at arm's length of her. If Bishop's assessment is correct, and she has little reason to doubt him, then moonlacing isn't a privilege, it's a requirement.]
no subject
Or is that you require funds for basic necessities?
[ She had never properly considered the tribulations the average mortal would undergo upon arriving here rupie-less and alone. She had the benefit of those from her world and the benefit of only needing to survive on very little. ]
no subject
By mine survival, I mean to agree with your second observation. If I mean to survive in this world, that means I must adapt to the rules requiring such here.
['Privilege' is not a word Perne would ordinarily use because she is privileged, but... Alexiel must be very much so in Lunatian standards, otherwise she might understand the struggle a bit more.]

i know someone back home who youd love if all those words amounted to "yo wanna hold hands"
im being sarcastic no one likes him
thats me asking for the tldr youre just out to hold hands and not die right?
no subject
How kind of you to put it so concisely. Aye, you have the right of it.
no subject
yeah no problem man i got you
so are you like a left hand holder or a right hand holder?
maybe a both hand holder
im betting a both hand holder but not linking the fingers either just that good ol wrap around the hands and stand there waiting for the hallmark music to kick in
right? im right
no subject
I do not make a habit out of holding hands. I hardly see a reason why one would specify left or right hand. Surely which hand does not matter. If I had it mine way, I would not be holding hands at all. This is not a romantic affair, and I have no interest in such things.
[And she has no idea what 'Hallmark music' is, but she doesn't appear to be interested in it, regardless.]

get a load of this chick
[ Poor Perne. It's not her fault this post brings about G-rated flashbacks of Winter Schnee's 20 minute presentation of terms and negotiations for moonlacing. Anyhow sounds like she'll be into his tight-laced military friends. ]
no subject
What. Finesse? Class? Some form of respect that would allow ignorance in place of mockery? (She can't actually tell if she's being mocked or not, but assumes it's safer to conclude she will face a good deal of ridicule for her approach.)]
I am incapable of determining if your response is sincere or sarcastic.
[She indulged herself in the deepest of sighs before responding. Freaking Qrow.]
Greetings, Lady Perne. I am Winter Schnee. In the interest of not wasting your time, I am not attracted to women. I only wish to commend your efforts in fostering communication and being clear about your expectations and boundaries. You will find those who are willing and able to respect your wishes, so do not settle for less.
no subject
[...Perne has so many questions. So many of them that she chooses not to voice because she supposes at the end of the day, the answers don't actually matter. It doesn't stop her, however, from looking incredibly sceptical over the concept of both well-intended rudeness (which just sounds like an excuse someone would give a man back in Ishgard for uncouth behaviour) and some kind of unseen requirement that attraction of some sort comes into play when it involves holding hands (but then to be fair, the most enamoured look Perne's ever given has very likely been to a plant, so mayhaps she can't judge).]
It would appear that I am not the first to issue such specifications.
[At least, this appears to be the implication. It does offer her a subtle sense of relief, if that's what Winter was intending.]

I would also like to apologize for my friend's tone, as I'm afraid he isn't used to speaking with anyone holding rank or title. At least, not very kindly.
It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Perne. I am General James Ironwood from a kingdom called Atlas; I also had the pleasure of being the Headmaster of the Academy that we taught our children at. I'm sure others have already told you and I hope it will be a relief to know that the moonlacing this place requires can remain fairly chaste.
I do hope you'll find suitable partners who will meet your requirements.
( He doesn't look as though he'd offer, but if she happens to show any particular interest, far be it from him to turn her away; he's still quite critical of himself, is all. The lady is owed an apology and that was all he intended to deliver, But You Know. ✨ )

How goes the Moonlacing partner applications?
[He says ever pleasant and well-meaning. Or at least on the surface. Honestly he's just so amused by her.]
no subject
They are not 'applications,' Master Bishop, but rather an assessment of the city's population in proper. This is not merely a means of making accord, but rather of making acquaintance and observation of the inhabitants. It grants me opportunity to witness conversation, posturing, motives, incentives, and so on. People are more than simply their words, but how they deliver such concepts. And sometimes, it is not what they are saying that holds the true importance, but rather what they are not.
[Ever the keen observer, Perne seems to have had multiple reasonings for her approach and as ever the typical, it's subtle, evasive, and not terribly upfront, something that will come to be expected from the young woman in question.]
However, as you can see, I continue to function as expected.

[He was honestly a little worried, and still is, about her Chroma situation. He himself isn't a big fan of getting cozy in the sack with a female then taking off, but he isn't above hand holding at least so he manages to cope.]
And how is your assessment of the populace? Anyone seem like a trustworthy sort?

Your assessment is accurate, though I must needs inquire—Has someone gone to this... communication device to ask for such... [How in the hells does she even ask this.] ...for things that are more serious?
no subject
Far more serious indeed. I suppose it’s simply the culture of the place, but sometimes you really have to question people’s judgment...

...are you an elezen or elf?
[ The miqo'te on the screen looks curious, watching her with amusement in her eyes but a calm expression. ]
I promise this has a purpose.
no subject
How many is that from Eorzea now...? Regardless, Megumi's pointed question does cause Perne to pause, if only because she's trying to properly decipher what the difference might be between the two. Others have certainly mistaken her for elven, so there must be some appearance similarities.]
The former. [She replies with a tip of her head.] Although I have yet to correct anyone who has defined mine people otherwise. [...Because at the end of the day, does it really matter what others think she is? No. Not especially.]
no subject
Going to take a guess and say you're Ishgardian, as well? You sound different than the ones I've had to deal with in Gridania.
[ She pays attention! But she does smile and give her a wave. ]
Well met then, lass. Found any assistance for your needs yet?
