so i have a couple of questions.
first question, people who've turned into more than one thing because of their moonblessing before. do you like one better than the other? i don't mean being a cordis and then being an iris or something like that, i mean...like sometimes you're a cat and then sometimes you're a fox. or something like that. are you more comfortable as one thing than as another thing.
second question, people who've turned into a dragon. how do you turn the voice thing off. can you turn it off or do you have to just not talk until sanguis is over or what.
third question, say you've been through something pretty fucked up and you want to put it behind you. how do you know when you're really over it and not just pretending that you're over it? i mean what if you think you're fine and then something happens to make you realize you're not really fine. how do you fix that.
last question, i read somewhere that flowers have meanings. how do i find out what flowers mean. is there a book or something or can you just ask a florist or what. do people even care what flowers mean anyway or are they just flowers.
ok i think that's it.

i cant answer the first two questions so here i'll help with the last two:
3: i can't say i've ever been entirely over the shit i've been through. i dont even know if i ever will. but it's like having a scar; you'll heal, you'll get better, but that shit's always going to stick with you. you just have to find ways to cope. you know, ways that won't hurt you.
4: look it up because if you're getting flowers for someone and they ask what the flowers mean or look it up themselves you dont wanna fuck it up for them
permanon
on one hand you get pretty rich i think
on the other hand good luck talking to anybody without making them want to fuck you
so is it normal to be fine and then all of a sudden something happens and you're not fine anymore
i mean is that just what happens or what
also who said i was getting flowers for anybody

That being said, there are definitely books that you should consult but you'll also need to keep in mind that different flowers or colours have different meanings from culture to culture...
Are you planning on giving someone flowers? I might be able to help you more if you gave a little more information, is it for the upcoming holiday? Or just something for a friend?
permanon
but if i was it would be for the holiday yeah

I'm Cordis, so the dragon question is right out. But I'm pretty fond of my newest update that I have. It's better than the normal fox or cat. As for trauma, who knows. I forgot.
You can find books on floriography, though. And you can probably use the search engines on our devices. Though I also wager the right florist will know what to do if you let them know the message you're trying to convey. There's a lot of very specific details tied to it. As for importance, I think there can be some - depending on the person. I'd still wager giving yellow - friendship - roses to someone you are romantically interested wouldn't be wise.
permanon
and why do you like it so much i guess
ok so you can just tell a florist "i want flowers that mean this" and they'll just do it? i'm not going to but i'm just wondering

I don't think there's a big fix from what I've seen. The best you could do is try to focus on the good things you have in your life. Although sometimes it's easy to be affected by those heavy feelings again, and in that case it's necessary to take some time out and find something to help you cope with it at the moment.
As for flower meanings, I think this is something George would know a lot about... he's so smart and amazing about things like this! But sadly he isn't here, so I wouldn't know. But personally, Miwako would just think it was nice that someone was thinking of me enough to get flowers.
permanon
that's a funny way of putting it
that's pretty much what everyone is saying
there's no way to fix it
you just have to deal with it
what a fucking pain
you wouldn't care what they meant at all?

i've gone through a variety of changes here, though a couple of times it was done under the influence of an outside party like when the dragon people offered us tea or the fox cult forced us to drink their wine.
although now that you mention it i did have an incident with the voice thing and a close friend, i honestly couldn't tell you if i ever figured out how not to use it.
as for changes within my moonblessing i've gone from being a wolf to a ram. i can't say that there's a real big difference from one to the other, since the issue i'm most concerned about is still present and that's the temper.
i can say that it's a little difficult to style my hair with horns though, but i guess it's not bad to leave it a little curlier than usual.
trauma is often very difficult, i don't believe it's ever possible to just fix it. since i live in a far longer lifespan than a human i'm afraid that anything i have to contribute to this subject would be helpful.
the language of flowers... i'm not sure if this is something that holds a great deal of importance in modern times. except, maybe just avoiding giving someone funeral flowers when you're trying to be celebratory,
no subject
wolf or ram
it doesn't really make a difference to you?
yeah everybody has a lot to say about the flowers apparently
thanks

1. I've been both a wolf and a dragon! If I were to go with my gut instinct, I'd say I think I feel more like myself when I'm like a dragon...even if that's a bit ironic lol
But I worked hard to get used to how I felt when I had wolf traits. In that regard, I suppose I feel a sense of accomplishment towards it!
2. Ah, speaking of the dragon voice! It doesn't seem to ever go away. It's been difficult to get used to, but in some ways, it can be awfully convenient...
Not in a weird way, though!
3. Having something like a goal just ahead of what I want to overcome has been helpful with that. Are you going through something difficult?
no subject
or i guess
what about the wolf feels unnatural
i'm kind of similar but for me i think i like the wolf better
so i'm curious
dammit
of course the voice doesn't go away
fuck
what do you mean a goal

2. N/A, but also what?
3. You don't necessarily know. You just keep going and doing your best. It's all you can do. It might seep in from time-to-time even if you've forgotten it or moved forward. It doesn't mean you're going backwards or haven't moved on.
4. No idea. It was a Victorian England thing as I recall? If you want to get someone flowers, just get them what reminds you of them. Think that's better than going for some "meaning" when the gift of them itself is meaningful.
permanon
it's annoying
that's the part i don't really get
how can you have moved on if you're dragging something like that with you
i guess maybe you could've moved but you didn't get away from it
this metaphor is stupid
ok but
what if they look it up and it turns out it means something terrible
and you said the flowers remind you of them
that seems like it could go pretty bad pretty fast

As for the flowers thing- back home, it would be an internet search away. But I also remember gardening club having tons of books on flowers so maybe there's one that has meanings listed?
They usually care more about the number of flowers than the type of flowers; an odd number of flower stems bring luck and happiness, and an uneven number is unlucky or something like that
no subject
i didn't know that could happen
was that still sanguis or was that something else
fuck
flowers are a lot more complicated than i thought

i can't say i know anything about the first two but...there's no such thing as a meaningless past. if the past was painful, then become someone stronger, someone strong enough to do for the people suffering something similar what you wish someone had done for you.
i think in a way, you won't ever be really over it. it's something that happened to you and, fucked up or not, it probably had some influence on the person you are now. but you get to decide what you do about that because it doesn't define who you are.
there's no easy way to do that, but i think knowing that you can decide that, that even if the past can't be changed it doesn't have to define your future is a good start. so is realizing you're not really fine, you know? just because you're not really fine doesn't mean you haven't moved forward at all! i'm sure, even if you're not as fine as you want to be, if you've been moving forward step by step all this time, you must have made some progress.
oh and some people probably care about what flowers mean. at least, it's good to ask if they care before you give them a flower that means 'i hate you' or 'i only want you for your body' by accident and get slapped.
[She's being helpful...some of her attempts are more helpful than others.]
permanon
the voice thing is a problem
i don't think that's a good idea
the part about becoming strong for other people
i mean i understand what you're saying
probably that would work for other people
but i think that would just make more problems for me
everybody keeps talking about moving forward too
that's easier said than done i think
are there really flowers that mean i hate you

What flowers mean depends on who you ask. And whether anyone still knows what you're talking about, so yes, they can just be flowers.
As for the third thing, if you figure it out, let me know. Been trying to figure that out for millennia now.

2- You can't really turn off abilities. I'm always hungry as a Cordis, for example.
[In more ways than one.]
3- Talking with others and opening up.
4- I've worked at a florist shop before so I know some meanings. Some people just buy the flowers because they are pretty, but other customers were very insistent on getting flowers that 'fit'. The ones most people know about are rose colors. Red is usually to mean you love someone, pink might be for a best friend, white is thinking of you, yellow is for a friend.
But again, this really depends on if you feel flowers have meaning or not. Or at least the person you'd give the flowers to.
no subject
sometimes people turn into the entire animal here
it's not just the features or whatever
fuck
ok so no talking while a dragon then
great
what do white flowers mean
someone told me no white flowers or else

Last.) Flowers have different functions. Their main function is to pollinate for reproduction, though that links in to a vast chain reaction within an ecosystem.
