[ Taichi is just making like, a normal video post. He's got doggo ears! Perky ones, and a dog tail swishing back and forth behind him like a dog who just got told he got a treat. Sanguis doggo time!! ]

[ He's just proud of this fact. He gets called a dog without the ears and tail all the time.. ]

[ He turns over his key and pays his bill, and watches his bank account drop to almost zero again off of his device because he's been staying here for a bit. He makes a whining noise and his head droops until Banri asks his question. ]

It's cool! I miss home, though. [ His family and the rest of Mankai Company and his clothing and even.. gulp, school. ] Hm... what's the most important thing there is to know about here?

[ he watches his puppy ears droop down along with taichi's mood, probably unbeknownst to taichi himself, and suddenly banri remembers he has his own traitorous ears and tail. it's good to know he's not alone in it, though. also, he can sort of tell what made taichi so depressed. thankfully chroma is easy enough to gain back. ]

Yeah, I miss it too. I try not to think about it, though. [ because then he'll get depressed and he's trying to stay positive until he finds a way back. he raises an eyebrow at his choice of question, though. ] Um, ask something less broad?

Well.. uh... [ He lowers his voice. He should not be asking about this outside but Banri wants him to ask questions, right?? ] How do you make decent money if you don't have a girlfriend here? That demichroma stuff doesn't go a long way. [ He can't just let Banri pet his head all day. ]

[ ah geez, of course he'd have to ask a hard one right away. he groans, rubbing the back of his neck and looking away. ]

For a moment there I forgot who I was talking to. [ their very own resident horny teenager. what can he even tell him though? he knows taichi has always struggled getting a girlfriend, despite really, really wanting one. with how things are around here though, maybe he'll finally catch a lucky break? he turns back to him with a grin, as they walk outside the motel. ]

Obviously, you become a prostitute. It fixes all your troubles.

[ Wait. ] Wait- is it?

[ This is another planet. Maybe it's legal!? WAIT. ]

[ actually he's not sure if it's illegal or not but??? his guess is it isn't??? he laughs at his reaction, though. very expected. very taichi, but still reaches over with one hand to cover his mouth. ]

Geez, yell it louder why dontcha. And come on, why not? You'd sell for a pretty high price, I bet. You could make mad chroma if you really put your heart to it.

[ He starts talking from behind his hand, then reaches up to pull Banri's hand off of his mouth before trying again. He's whispering now at least, but like.. loud whisper-yelling. It's only barely an improvement. ]

I'm not selling my V-card! N-Not that I have one!

[ He definitely has one. ]

[ oh there was absolutely no doubt in banri's head that he has one. platinum membership, probably. ]

[ He puts one hand over his butt and one hand over his front. ]

[ slaps the back of his head immediately, sighing. ]

I'm joking, idiot. Don't stress about it too much, you'll be fine; making chroma is very easy, even if staying PG makes it take longer it's still chroma, right?

[ he offers him his hand with a smile. ]

[ Taichi huffs it out and takes his hand, standing up straight. Just for that, Banri gets the hand that was covering his butt. ]

Geez, how am I supposed to know? This is another planet, I don't know what's normal! Do you even have a girlfriend here? [ Or boyfriend or whatever, he honestly doesn't know what Banri's into. It would probably help to know when he gets asked to bring him notes, honestly... ]

[ ugh. gross little man. but fine, banri takes it firmly, walking casually like this is the most normal thing in the world. there's only a slight, warm tingle coursing through where their hands are touching and exchanging chroma. ]

Wouldn't you like to know. And honestly, a lot of people here and from places similar to ours, so just assume the same rules that applied back home apply here, too and don't do anything too weird.

[ Taichi does start walking rather like a robot for a moment as the chroma starts to flow, if only because it's Banri and Banri making him feel warm and tingly like that is a Thing. ]

Just what do you think I'm going to do??

I dunno. What are you going to do?

[ ah... don't get all stiff please it makes this way more awkward than it should be... ]

Hey, relax. Nobody here cares, okay? ...Unless you care, that you're holding my amazing hand.

Hm...

[ He doesn't know. He thinks on it for a little bit, trying to figure out the easiest way to get chroma as he tries to take a deep breath and relax, stubbornly refusing to admit that this is awkward. He does get.. slightly less awkward. ]

Can I sleep in your bed? Then all the chroma is made while we're asleep!

[ That would... work right... ]

[ banri is??? a little startled at that reply, way bolder than anything he was expecting, but somehow endearing at its core. he rubs the back of his neck with his free hand, sighing. ]

You really just say things, huh. I mean, sure? It'll be like sleeping with a pet, I guess.

[ fortunately motels and living spaces are close, so his building is already visible from where they are, and it starts to hit a little, that he asked taichi to live with him because they're friends and he knows him and feels responsible for him despite not being his leader anymore, but... the moons turn people weird, and who knows how they will affect taichi at its worst. ]

...There's a few things we might need to talk about, by the way. Not so pleasant things, so I'd rather not do it here.

[ Taichi is simple. He's not going to ask for much, but they both need chroma and he's thinking of it like two friends sleeping over. (Not a pet!! Mean..) Banri has his flaws but Taichi trusts him... And it really is the least embarrassing way to get chroma, he thinks.

Well, at least until Banri brings up needing to discuss a few things. His tail finally stops wagging and he looks over at Banri. ]

The way you're talking, it sounds serious...

You don't get to tell me what I can or can't do on my own bed.

[ but hey, they're here. he makes his way inside the building and has to let go of taichi's hand so he can open the door, no more handholding until they make it to the entrance of his apartment— a standard, modern deco place, well-kept and clean, simple and small. ]

Welcome to your new home, I guess. What do you think?

[ It's true!! He can't complain, he's getting a free place to stay and get chroma and not be on his own. Well, if Banri snores he'll just have to invest in ear plugs he guesses...

Taichi tilts his head slightly and his ears flatten a little when Banri lets go. The chroma felt good, he misses it. It only lasts a couple of seconds though and his dog ears perk back up as he opens the door. ]

Wow, it looks like a real adult's place...

[ What does Taichi even think Banri is.. well, they had dorms before this so it's a different case. He goes to set his stuff in the corner and heads in to look around. ]

I'm ready for the tour!

[superultra]

[ he closes the door behind them, laughing a little. taichi's enthusiasm is contagious. ]

Please, it's too small for a tour, isn’t it? There is only one room— that’s my bedroom at the end there, and I’m sure you can see the bathroom over there and the kitchen over on that side. You can sleep with me tonight for chroma but this sofa here will be your new bed until we find you a better bed.

[ He's a moodmaker for a reason!! ]

Still bigger than the dorms!

[ He goes over to peek through each of the doors just to see. He doesn't really feel like he can just go through Banri's things at least, so it's just a quick peek and he comes back over to look at the couch. so this is his dog bed He scratches the back of his neck thoughtfully. ]

Though if I get a bed it's going to be kind of like that again.

[ Trying to fit two beds in the bedroom.. Taichi is going to have to think about Banri's privacy too soon, but for now he's just thinking about not being in a motel anymore. ]

[ his dog bed!! honestly banri does feel a little bad about not having enough room for both... he never thought he’d have to share a room so he got himself this place, but now he’s starting to reconsider. ]

Haha. Fine, if you’re not terrible to sleep with, we can share my bed a few days. Then we'll look into getting a bigger place, if you still want to. Unless you get yourself a girlfriend and decide to move in together. Who knows!

I won't take up too much space, promise!

[ Yes! Out of the doghouse! He'll think about finding a way to give Banri some more space later, for now he's just happy to have a real home for now. ]

What did you want to talk to me about? [ Now that they're alone. He didn't forget. ]

[ he stretches, plopping down on his sofa and yawns, looking at taichi expectantly. sit, boy. ]

Ah, right. It's about the moon thing, of course. Not even the sexy part, just, other things you gotta be careful about. You just got your ears and tail today, right?

[ judging from his excited video. ]

Yeah.

[ Taichi grins, his tail wagging again until he plops down right on it and jumps up again with a little yelp, then more carefully arranges himself. ]
